Lights were off, lava lamp was on, I was all alone in a dark house, I danced so soulfully to this song that I was truly transported. Things I've found in life: Music is better than they said it was, sex is better than they say said it was, psychedelics are better than they said they were, friends are better than they said they were. WE must make those magic moments in life.
Emancipator alone could be prescribed for depression/anxiety. The combination of Emancipator and psychedlic drugs, mainly pharmaceutical mushroom extracts, could be prescribed for anyone who has a fear of death
I love how when she say "I'm doing it on purpose" she sounds so sad and embarrassed. I can just imagine her crossing her arms and pouting. Its so cute.
In one of the deepest, darkest, hardest, most tripped out state I've ever been in, this song changed everything. It has so many meanings. At least to me.
Just saying guys, if you're looking for a similar artist, then look up without directive on youtube... I'm not advertising or anything, but they are quite similar
absolutely b e a utiful. nothing is more relaxing then this amazing artist. it's sad yet pleasantly harmonious and joyful at the same time. does anyone know what is said at the very end of the song right before 'you are nourishing'? she says something, laughs and then says it again, but i cant figure out what she's saying...sounds kinda like 'ladle fulls'???
@SoraKumiko no no i knew that, i meant right before that. It sounds like she says 'ladle fulls *giggles* ladle fulls you are nourishing' Is she saying ladle fulls? this has been bugging me forever!
@BigThier96 what about J dilla? Everyone at hydeout including Seba Jun respected him.. they all wrote tribute songs for J dilla when he died from liver failure. Check him out unless you already know about him.
@BigThier96 And dont forget about "Large Professor"!!!! He's the producers producer. every producer listens to him and reflects on what he's made. Much love brotha, enjoy your life.
@kaliflax obviously to place music in genres is to be a snob , when artists can have a wide range of sound. save those thought for college, parents pay a lot for it now a days.
@kaliflax emancipator is hip hop, electronic, downtempo etc. he can fit into alot of categories. And Chillout/Lounge is under Electronic as far as music genres go.
Thao Nguyen has one of the most beautiful, hypnotizing voices I've ever heard in my entire life and Emancipator crafted this song to fit her perfectly. Even the placement of her speaking intro was perfect. When he comes in my state I'll go to his concert with Blockhead if I have to gnaw an arm and a leg off.
just got the chance to see him perform live for the first time...so epic...he opened for bassnectar. talk about a sick opener. he went back and forth between his laptop and midi controller and his guitar. dude is mad talented
@2qualman hahaha same heeeree man i am listenin to him just as much if not more then i listen to bassnectar right now!! and i am possibly going to Denver to see Emancipator open up for STS9 :D
"You are very nourishing--that's what he said" I absolutely love that... love love love it. Thank you for uploading this amazing artwork in the form of music.
alright well guys if you like this here's my list of who to listen to (beleive me you'll never get bored) :
RUTO, NOMAK, EMANCIPATOR, BLAZO , KONDOR, NUJABES,J DILLA, 9TH,WONDER, DAMU THE FUDGEMUNK, PETE ROCK, DJ PREMIER,FAT JON,BUCKWILD, SHOWBIZ, MADLIB, UYAMA, HIROTO, SADISTIK.... enjoy :]
This song... it paints a visual in my mind... somehow it tells a story.
Reminiscing of years past, happier days... And a melancholy touch that those days are long gone. It has a cold feel to it, but there is a warmth in the voice of the singer, all perfectly blended together into 5 minutes of bliss.
Emancipators music is a trip. its a blend of joyful but depressing tunes all intertwined to make this different vibe of music. Ive never heard music like emancipators music before, he truly has a style of his own. I love throwing on the head phones playing emacipators music while drawing in my sketch book. truly inspires creativity from within. thats how u know what good music is.
get off work come home, throw on some comfy clothes, pop open the laptop open up itunes and play some Emacipator, great way to unwind after a long and stressful day work

@MarioBrosClassic Yeah it is. Ever since I made that comment, he's been getting more recognition. Especially since he released his latest album. (which I bought at 12:00am, the day it was released)
@MisterBankz but the arrangements on this album are truly amazing. Best instrumental album and I listen to A LOT of instrumentals. It's uncanny what he did on this album

Gone like fall leaves, abandoning trees
Gone to the ground, only to freeze.
