  • I work for Kirkham Motorsports, and I can say with 100% surety that this car came from Kirkham Motorsports. We have sold over 150 frames and bodies to Shelby.

It also looks like the hood scoop on the painted car in this video is a fiberglass part, not the aluminum ones we sell to Shelby.

  • i'd love to restore it and keep it for my self.

  • I don't understand why everyone thinks the guy got F*&^^& He had $0 invested in it and knew he'd never have the money to finish it.I would have taken $25,000 in heartbeat. Its FREE Cash in fist NOW vs. put more cash ($80,000)in it and wait.

  • im so tired of people saying pawn stars screw people. do you guys forget they have to make money to! sure they often low ball a guy but they have to to be able to make money and its not as if there forcing a person to sell. its their choice

  • @GrAviTy11100 AMEN!!!!!

  • I don't believe a word of it and those pawn star idiots don't have a clue

  • @kidd912thomas hell of a clue they have! can't help it you missed it!

  • Carroll shelby isn't dead

  • $100,000????? If its a REAL Shelby Cobra, its a MILLION DOLLAR CAR. Rick is a true rip off artist

  • @ten8goa nope rnot all real shelbys sell for a million! I must have missed the scene when Rick put a gun to his head and forced him to sell him the car or die! Rick didn't rip anyone off man o man!

  • HELL NO I GIVE THIS CAR FOR 30.000 $ HELL NO

  • The original dude should never had sold the car. I would have kept it in the garage and rebuilt it my self over long period of time. I mean he missed out on 30K as well.....

  • He got fucked on this deal! Pawn Shops fuck people.

  • @louevil22 no one made the guy sell it he wanted quick money thats his choice!

  • @louevil22 How do they screw people over? Nobody forced him. He wanted cash and didn't want to deal with it. As far as what they offered him for it, it's a totally fair price. They're a retail store & retail stores generally double or triple what they pay for an item if it's not a high priced item and a little less for expensive stuff. He could have gotten more if he took the time & effort to find a buyer but he wanted cash now & took a little less for the convenience of being done with it now

  • @louevil22 no shit dumbass they have to sell it and make money u go buy a shell of a crar make it tht nice and make money! bitch!

  • Very obviously a continuation car, even the finished price tag fits for a continuation car. There are no original, unfinished CSX cars left floating around as SAAC has accounted for them all. Nothing wrong with a continuation car, they are real deal Shelby Cobra's and a great deal compared to an original 60's car, but the show was being kinda's shady about not mentioning that this is a CSX 4000 continuation car and not a 60's CSX3000 model.

  • @1978BHO they did have left over bodies from the first run thats what got the 2nd run going.

  • @copocamaro

I'm familiar with the original continuation cars built in the 90's, this wasn't one of them as all of those were sold as complete, finished cars. This is a CSX4000 car which, while still very nice and a real Shelby, sells for considerably less than an original or the early CSX3000 series continuations built in the 90's.

  • They did take it to Shelby--his signature is on the dashboard.

Looks a bit like a CSX7000 or 8000 series. If you notice they never say in the TV show which series the car is. The original '60s version would have been a CSX3000 series.

On this webpage an aluminum bodied CSX7000 roller kit retails for $115K. csxcobras (dot) com/ford289.html

  • I though all original cobras were made in England (thames ditton) by AC cars for Shelby to fit the engines and boxes ?

  • I would have told him to go fuck himself, give carroll shelby a call and tell him i found an original unfinished shelby cobra shell and he would have probably restored it for free and have it worth well over 1 million dollars!!I I hate these pawn fuckers. They probably dropped a fucking 351W in that original Shelby. They didn't even put a 2 4 set up.

  • @gearhead2k6 THESE CONTINUATION CARS WERE ABOUT 130K THEY DO SELL FOR A MILLION DOLLARS! THEY MADE THE BUILD COST LESS.

  • @copocamaro I used the F word a bit excessively. I hate seeing a classic ruined by people who don't know what they are doing.

  • NAVADA CLASSICS ? THIS CAR IS TOO CLEAN UNDERNEATH TO BE 44 Years Old ! If it is original it was on its way to being restored. and Carol Shelby is building NEW! Cobras with the CSX Code on the Cerial # called a Continuation. The guy that was the expert that painted it did not paint it the original cobra blue.

  • @sixtiesforever1966 to clean ? i dought its 44 years old it might be its been keep inside all its life it will be in good shape shelby had lots of extra bodys sitting around back in the day.

  • HELLO PAWN STARS. A restored original Cobra is worth well over 1.5 million.+++

Serial # start with CSX. and worth well over $50, 000 in that condition.

Carol Shelby would buy it for $ 100.000 Dollars. and original did not have Fuel Injection.. Sir David

  • @sixtiesforever1966 not all of them are shelby made a continuation series and Im sure thats what this car is.

the car has a CXS # it's real you could buy these a few years back for 100k+

  • Comment removed

  • @copocamaro YES you still can buy them, and I wonder why the Tow Truck Guy did not take the car right to Carol Shelby since he is in Las Vegas. The guy that rebuilt the car did not seem to know everything about the car or he would have known about the newer continuation cars with the same CSX prefix in the Serial Number.

    Thank You. Sir David

  • @sixtiesforever1966 this was not an original 60s Cobra. Only certain Cobras can get that kind of money now, and only at an auction(hype) not in the real world.

  • What an idiot! I know he got it for free and was paid to remove it, but the guy said its was worth 60k, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who would happily have paid that much.

  • @harryburroughes not really it too it 100k to get it all so it could be drove. he got a good deal at 30k

  • alluminum corrodes its a fact i am not talking about rust or rust holes iam talking about the shine not being that bright. after after 45 years of sitting it would have sighns of at least hazing on the surface under the fenders. unless it was kept in a heated garage all its life or gone over with sand paper to take the corosion off. but again u never know if its a real ac body somone keeped it in a museum. looks like a kirkam body with a shelby frame to me.

  • aluminum will stay perfect unless it has salt on it

  • what a steal. its a kirkam body.

  • @herck280 sorry to say its a real cobra body not a kirkam body

  • @copocamaro shelby america buys the alluminum bodies from kirkam but they use there own frame that is why it has the ccx stamp. the body is not a original ac body from 1965 that body is made in poland the hood scoop wasnt even cut yet.

  • @herck280 not exactly wikicars.org/en/AC_Cobra he also had bodies left over from the original runs

  • @copocamaro Well u never know but the inside of the body is way too shiny to be a old left over body look in the inner fender wells. i remember talk of old bodies left over but i thought they were long gone. even if they kept the old body in a heated garage it would still show signs of slight corrosion that could be polished but u would have to be nuts to want to go as far as doing a light sand on the inner fenders

  • @herck280 aluminum will stay perfect unless it has salt on it

  • @herck280 well funny thing is the company said its real, if they say its real not sure hows there are many questions left. famouscars.info/ac-cobra.php

    my cars 69zl1.com

  • carroll didnt invent the muscle car, he made a british car a race car with an american v8

  • what a waste of an original body by putting shit parts in it.

  • don't forget this is originally a British car made by AC, not american.C Shelby only imported them then put big engines in them. americans are incapable of designing such a good looking car. look at corvettes...

  • What a dumb mother fucker... Are people that hard up that they cant sell their shit on their own... I would have tossed that shit on ebay and tried to sell it for what it was worth...

  • I just about slammed my head into my desk when he said they went with the carb.

  • guy was told what it was worth by the cobra place, looked like he chose to sell it no one forced him, still cost another 60k to finish it

  • guy was told what it was worth by the cobra place, looked like he chose to sell it no one forced him, still cost another 60k to finish it

  • they fucked that guy

  • Boy did that guy get fucked, and to boot he let himself get fucked! Wow, letting that rare of a car go for $30k?! He could have gotten $100k in the right circles. I hope that guy Shawn doesnt see this, he'd feel like an ass.

  • @CHEVEL67NI He only had the chassis, not a whole car which he had gotten for free. No wait, he was paid to tow the car chassis away. So, in the end, he made $30k plus what he was paid to tow the car away. They run a business, and are in for $90k, and are hoping the car sells for $160k. If the guy who finished the car out hadn't saved them some cash on the rebuild, they'd only stand to make ~30k on the car which is why they put the limit at $30k for the chassis: they have to make something.

  • more car nuts were more upset about what they gave him for this frame. pawn stars fucked this guy with his pants on!
