  • All of Irwin Allen's shows suffered from burnout. They all had a good premise but the stories got really, really bad. Lost in Space for the first half of the first season was as good as it gets. But the show got progressively dumber as it went along. The same goes for The Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and Land of the Giants.

  • This is really cool music.

  • Classic Irwin Allen. Great idea, amazing special effects (at the time, the most expensive program on television) and sound, done in by very uneven writing, no plan on where to take the story, and Allen's contempt for character development. The pilot, which he directed himself and which took three times longer than usual to shoot is close to the high point if not it.

  • It's nice to hear the soundtrack to Land of the Giants. I'm wondering why there is any clips from the show. There's allot of Star Trek , Voyage to the Bottom of the sea and Lost in Space. Would nice to hear Gary Conway's voice again after all these years. Is this series available in affordable DVD format? This is music is obviously from the pilot episode "The Crash" I love the Soundtrack it makes you feel the danger that the Spindriff crew are in , in this Giant world 12 larger than them.
