I call BS. There is only one species of shark known to live in fresh water for long periods of time, the bull shark. I highly doubt it would have a) made it all the way from the mouth of the hudson river to lake superior and b) made it far enough north to enter said river in the first place. bull sharks tend to like warmer waters.

google the dvd video: Anatomy of a Shark Bite from discovery channel. These guys were filming a documentary on sharks. The man is a Dr. Ritter, i think, a marine biologist. The video looks ok, overall, supposedly nothing new is discussed except the exact way a shark bites and how you suffer.

I call BS. There is only one species of shark known to live in fresh water for long periods of time, the bull shark. I highly doubt it would have a) made it all the way from the mouth of the hudson river to lake superior and b) made it far enough north to enter said river in the first place. bull sharks tend to like warmer waters.

The sharks were in their natural habitat... when we go in the water we need to respect their territory... we live on land so either stay safe when you're in the water with them... like... stay yo ass in a boat... they're always hungry and will take a bite out of you because that's what they do... eat all the time.

He investigates sharks behaviour.He teaches to prevent bites and denounces the massacre of them.We don´t only have to fight for the preservation of cute animals like sea lions or dolphins but, for every creature.Unfortunately,this implies a big risk for him,to make choices in half a second and to learn from mistakes. Noble might be stretching it. He clearly is in it for the attention. He was trying to "prove" he could lower his pulse and be in the water with a bull shark. Idiotic. Most of the scientific community thinks he's apeshit nuts. I agree with your assesment on marine mammal vs shark protection but think Ritter is an attention whore.

Bull sharks are considered the most dangerous shark to a human being due to their unpradictable and aggresive behavior. This guy isnt smart for swimming with them, what he got he didnt necasarily deserve but this just goes to show mother nature is an awsome power.
