Raila knows he is in a thorny cul de sac. As leader of ODM he should tread carefully and not alienate ODM members and supporters. Raila is the cause of the rift in ODM. Whereas Kibaki was cool and reconciliatory, Raila unnecessarily attacked his fellow ODM members at the Cabinet Coast Retreat. Raila has a plan on how to kick the poor out of the forest but no plan on how to provide for an alternative source of livelihood. Additionally Raila is afraid of Moi and the rich people in the Mau Forest.

Please count my comment. Raila makes mistakes and some of his deceptive supporters, like you, give him the impression that he is doing the right thing. Raila needs the Rift Valley and Coast votes badly come 2012. And what is happening? He is alienating not just the RV-voters but also the Coastal voters, dancing at two bad weddings simultaneously. Do you remember Balala running down the streets of Nairobi with police and teargas in hot pursuit? And Ruto defeating Moi in his backyard in 2007?
