Ahh,, let's see. I can hear passion, suffering, airiness, blues, jazz. Probably more feeling in her voice than any of the modern day female singers I can think of. I've been a fan since her first release. She's a favorite of mine. The down side is she's not top 40 rotation material for whatever reason. In a strange way its maybe a good thing.

I couldn't agree more. I've been a fan since the beginning. I am glad she has been able to stay true to herself & her music. Her voice is just incredible! She truly is one of those artists who are the epitome of artistic integrity, the other is God in the Flesh herself - Ms Rachelle Ferrell, check out "I can explain - Live" and "Gaia" and "I forgive you" the vocal skills on this woman is like no other i have every heard...complete control in sound, voice, pitch...her voice is just incredible...

Sadly, Jos Stone sounds like her (even looks like her) just faster and more R&B. Although Alana's been out since the mid 90's, Jos Stone will get more shine.
