You do know that though these bands were all in the same scene, the sounds of the bands were radically different. Flipper was a slower, noise rock oriented sound, compared to Black Flag's blues rock and metal orientation (at least in the later years) and Bad Brains was jazz fusion reggae all fused into the speed of early hardcore. So really to compare them is impossible, given the difference in the bands.

They are awesome, true enough. Flipper and Black Flag epitomize 80's hardcore.

Flipper had it's moments..especially in the Tenderloin in S.F. Or at the Mabuhai on Broadway. I Am The Wheel Had to be seen to be appreciated...great trance tune.
