@ninjashadow1983 I suggest you buy Mobile Broadband connection, cuz it's cheaper, faster, better than DSL, if you want to buy DSL just in case you want speed, this might be a problem cuz you'll need to double the speed to Max to get everything you want, BUT it will cost you MONEY!

xbox live is much better than the ps3 live you pay for servers with no lag and you have access to game updates and map packs, xbox live gold is worth its weight in gold. xbox live has the most people to play against or with and the price is reasonable

your internet provider probably doesn't support xbox live but thats just my guess try calling them

did you ever figure it out? im having the same problem!! i have verizon dsl, my friend does too. but mine cant connect. i looked it up on xbox xupport, and there are certain routers that are xbox live or windows compatible, so as far as i know, i think its the router that isnt compatible with going on xbox live.

I don't think it's common sense to find out how to connect your console that isn't on the same floor as your computer+modem providing access to Internet. i have a router called netgear got it yesterday from radioshack i dont need wireless but they said it worked better to just plug it into the console than getting the 360 wireless adapter and wen i got it working i plugged it in with the ethernet cablen for my 360 and IT DIDNT WORK!!!! it still couldnt get my ip adress!!!! should i just get that 360 wireless adapter? or is there something i have to do with my network options? i already have it on share connections and other stuff.
