  • Paula Zahn could have said "Dan Rather, would be here tomorrow."

  • She didn't flub her words. This was on a Sunday night and she ended with "Goodnight. Have a good rest of the weekend...or what's left of it."

  • is it really important? who cares ?

  • I wish they'd get Paula Zahn to come back to CBS in the mornings on the Early Show.

  • This aired on Sunday, January 25, 1998.

Paula Zahn can take comfort from the fact that very few people saw this flub. The vast majority of American television viewers were watching Denver defeat Green Bay in Super Bowl XXXII.

    Thanks for posting.

  • CBS Evening News With Paula Zahn

  • Every now and then, *I* would even bungle up my words. It goes to show that nobody's perfect, including newscasters.

  • Yes I learned that too. I'm surprised Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite never fumbled or forgot their words.

  • Oh, Paula - Is there NO job you can't bungle?!

    =)

  • 1999

  • WTF? Why does she keep talking after she says "Good night"? It's like she can't think of the right word and is just spitting out whatever comes to mind.

  • I know, I liked her too. She probably wanted more work, that's why she moved to CNN.

  • I wish Paula Zahn would return to CBS News.

  • Yeah really. I can't stand Katie Couric.
