  • great sound for a 250, sounds much better than the CBR 250R IMO, not sure how much the exhaust had to do with it but in general sounds powerful.

  • did you actually spend all the video revving it's tits off without even a ride up the street?

I wanna know how it sounds under load..

  • @stevenns125 At the time I had no helmet camera. So it's a bit difficult to ride and shoot video. Now I have a helmet camera, but the sound is crappy!

Anyway, you may take a look at video... watch?v=aMiL99SPDlU

  • how easy was it to fit that 954 tail light ?

  • 0:40 haha oil ! :D not good :P

  • @opooshteno That's not oil, it's some unburnt fuel. Oil would give a blueish smoke plume. When you rev a high-power engine with carburetors and suddenly lift the throttle, there is always a bit of unburnt fuel, because the air-to-fuel ratio becomes too rich temporarily.

  • It's very very beautiful, his sound It's very nice, I LIKE IT!!!

  • is it normal or weird to be in love with YOUR hornet? :P i wish mine was that nice! what headlight is that.. and exhaust? what budget do i need to get it like yours haha?

  • @maxweston1 Haha, thanks!

Well, you have the main ingredients already: your Hornet and your passion for it! Give it a little time, and bit by bit you can change things here and there. I have my bike for about one and a half year now. The Termignoni exhaust was already installed when I got the bike. The headlight and some other parts I ordered off eBay, see other comments here. Overall budget!? no idea... but most parts can be found for acceptable prices, when you do some online research.

  • @HardcoreCafe Thank you for the swift reply! :)

i do love my hornet, and i've only owned it for a short while, but there's always things you have to change with a bike :P

i do like the sound of it standard, but it's a little whiny, and not loud enough :3

i do like loud pipes, and i can't wait to find one or make one if i have to!

the ones to buy are so expensive though..

i've tried looking online for parts and lights, nothing too certain though.

i'll update you with how it all goes :)

  • @HardcoreCafe can i ask you where you got your headlight and speedometer? what amazed me is the headlight, it almost looked like the the ducati streetfighter.

    good job!

  • @heanly1 Thanks! You can find that headlight on eBay store BEST_AUTO_SPORT. I ordered it from Thailand.

The speedo is a Koso RX2-N. I bought it locally, as it is made in a place nearby. As far as I know Koso also manufactures for some large Italian bike companies.

  • 您好~我也是熱愛HORNET250的車友,不知道您在KOSO RX2N表左方,裝置的那顆是檔位&超轉警示表嗎?那是哪一顆表呢?不知可否分享~感謝~

  • @vul3vul3al Sorry, I can not read Chinese yet. But from online translation I guess you talk about the "Veypor" unit on the left side. That's a programmable gauge, dynamometer and track computer. Right now I am not using it and want to sell it. If you want to buy it, please pm me.

  • Taiwan!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for actually rolling on the throttle. Thumbs up if your happy he revved it!

  • wish i knew and got one new oh well

  • linda esta moto.tem o ronco da hornet 600.

  • 40hp @ 16000 rpm, 4 cilindros, 4 tiempos, 16 valvulas...mansita...

  • hi men, nice bike

i have a honda twister 250, its looks similiar to hornet.

  • Nice Hornet dude. Check out my channel to see my Hornet in action vids :)

  • @overexpose Sorry, I'm not yet able to reply you in Chinese. ;) But I guess you're able to read English. So, the headlight mask seems to be from a Honda Sonic 125. I ordered it on eBay from a Thailand supplier. The dashboard is a Koso RX2-N model. Koso's headquarters are in Tainan, a city nearby my place here in Southern Taiwan.

  • what is the model that mask?

  • @IIDyasII according to another comment here, it's from a Honda Sonic 125. But I didn't know that when I ordered it on eBay from Thailand.

  • am looking to buy a new bike next year God willing if I live, am looking into getting something with power that handles well on the road, I see my friends with these bikes, are they really good bikes?

  • @Adriangrosvenor I think the Hornet 250 is the perfect bike for me here in Taiwan. It's endless fun to ride, "Honda-reliable", fairly quick and easy to handle. Looks and feels like a "full size bike", but it's actually pretty light and compact. Get one, if you still can! It's a shame, that Honda stopped production some years ago! There is nothing comparable on the market... I even prefer it over the old CBR250RR... not even mentioning that new single-cylinder CBR250R-thingy!

  • Wish these werent so rare in the UK. I wanty, its 'slow' to work as an upgrade from my CBR 125

  • hey i got a hornet with that exact same headlight. its from a sonic 125. and yea just ordered a dominator twin round headlight from uk gonna see how it looks on the hornet. i think it'll look pretty neat :D love the street fighter look.

  • yo hardcore cafe i really thought of a redesign for the hornet 250 headlight, wat bout a neat duel round head light, pretty small though like the triumph street triple,i think it wud look nice :D

  • @itube4521 I have seen that kind of headlight on a Hornet 250 already, but I don't really like this look. And the lamp mask which I'm using now has the advantage, that I can get rid of the original boring indicators! ;)

  • nice bike and nice vid!

but idle seems a little bit too low

  • @mattttam03062005

Thanks for the reminder! I adjusted idle to 1500rpm today! :)
