from april 1986 i was an english lad working in dundee at the invercarse hotel as a chef. one of the lads took me to see united and i can say for the next two years it was the best football i have seen. so many memories. the one i will always remember is going to germany for the second leg and seeing the terrors winning 2-0. that would have been my all time favourite untill my hometown club Hull city got promoted to the premier league with that windass goal. one day i will return.

What a night! I'm a Celtic supporter but I'll tell you that the night that the Arabs made it 4 out of 4 against Barca is still one of my favourite football memories. Thoroughly deserved victory for United. They were tactically astute, solid as a rock, had great team spirit and tones of ability in those days. Paul Sturrock, for my money, was the best front player in Scotland at that time and guys like Bannon, Milne, Hegarty, Narey and Malpas were just brilliant.

Refs in Rangers pocket more like, did you see the 2 stone wallers Celtic were denied at Fir Park or the blatant spot kick denied at Ibrox? Having said that United were due one against Celtic last season (Caldwell trip) But the display by the Ref in the Rangers V Dundee United game in 2008 was without doubt bordering on corrupt.
