  • You must b very proud of your daughter! I would be as well!! Not only is she gorgeous!!!! But she is VERY smart as well! Very lucky father to have a daughter so amazing! With great talent! :D

  • @AkEmI2KATYA2aRiNa and no use for..

  • I know 3.141592653589793238462 by memory but i'm still learning (:

  • I swear she's just spewing numbers by 2:10

  • AMAZING! Very impressive. Can you tell us what she "sees" while reciting the numbers with her eyes closed? Pictures of the number sequences or maybe the numbers tell a story? or do sections of the number have different colors that go with them? ...Sounds weird but number fans know what I mean.

  • bet the crowd didnt know pi and she just made it all up lol

  • 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937 is what i know xD

  • i can only remember 3.

  • If I'd gone to her school, I would've learned a few hundred more digits than her just to piss off her dad. And why'd he go there to film her? It's not like it's an achievment. The sole reason for learning pi is for bragging rights. :\

Could've done something productive for an hour a day.

  • I think she's π-sexual.

  • sick

  • No money for the winner? becuase in my school they give AWAY 500 DOLLARS!

  • I remember π, do i really need anything else?

  • that is amazing i can only remember the numbers 3.14159265358979323846 and thats it

  • i can only remember 3.14 lol

  • Hey all - sorry if you may have gotten that comment twice. I just wasn't sure whether or not it went through. Lol!

  • I think Stephanie did an excellent job and she deserves all the credit in the world! Thumbs up, Stephanie, on all counts! :) Her school and all others should be very proud of her accomplishment. I saw all 3 videos and read the online press articles. She did the feat the same way that I had always done - reciting the digits in a type of rhythm "beat." This method DOES WORK - and her performance is perfect evidence of that. I read, Steph, you may try for 4,000 digits - I hope you make it!

  • rhythm beat?? please enlighten me on this approach as exams are fast approaching. thank you

  • @MarcUmile

he is right, i remember 10 phone numbers this way. with a "beat".

  • I think Stephanie did positively excellent and she deserves all the credit in the world! I saw all 3 videos and have read the press articles. Her school and family should be quite proud of her. She did that feat in the same way that I had done - putting the numbers in clusters, and reciting them all in a poetic, rhythm-like "beat." This method WORKS - and her performance is evidence of that. Thumbs up on all counts, Stephanie! I read that you may go for 4,000 - I hope you make it! :)

  • i bet she is happy that its all over till next year

  • i need to get a shirt like that :P

  • Amazing!

  • That's cheating, she had it on the back of her shirt!

  • way to go. keep up the good work and good job representing MST

  • They are clapping because it's over. :)

  • @tylerdag99 no I bet they aren't cause you don't go to a Pi reciting contest if you're not interested in it, do you?

    anyway you're just jealous ;)

  • ok ridiculous. i stand corrected.

very impressed. job for you? learn 10 languages and solve global expansion.

i await your results, thumbs up

  • Wow...

  • that young guy at the end is for sure owning that.

  • Wow. SImply wow.

I memorized 200 and I thought THAT was impressive.

  • Look up Daniel Tammet.

  • there was a documentary about him

  • its not memorization, she can see it in her head

  • Same thing ?

  • @CptBlacks

    That's what memory is lol

  • World record or something i mean JEZ!

  • No, I have heard of at least one person who knows over 26 000 digits.

  • Awesome awesomeness. And she's cute!

  • That's incredible that she can remember that many digits, but stil....She spends an hour a day practicing? Why? She could spend that 365 hours on something more...you know...marketable. Writing that you can recite pi to 2,000 places on a resume isn't going to get you anywhere; unless you're applying to MIT or something.

  • Well, look at it this way - if she hadn't tried this she might not have known the full extent of her memorization skills. I am sure she can keep improving it until she hits the ceiling, but what is wrong with this? Everyone's opinion on what is good, or better or "marketable" is different. Variety is good! Anyway, Pi is fun.

  • Incredible and great.
