The solo is by Wayne Perkins who was auditioning for the Stones at the time as a possible replacement for Mick Taylor. By the time they shot this video Ron Wood was in the band. The song was recorded in 1975 but wasn't released until 1981 on Tattoo You.

Not necessarily the best vocalist in the traditional sense, but Jagger often had a very expressive, creative and versatile way of singing. Much influenced by blues and later on soul and funk singers. The high part at 1:53 is rather moving.
