  • First chords of this song = first chords of "You're my Best Friend" by Queen. Normally I'd ignore it, (hey, there are only so many pleasant to the ear chords in the world), but even the keyboard tone is identical! Same. Exact. Thing. Not a rip-off though.

  • Mick Jagger. Is so. Sexy.

  • charlie dont think this is mick jagger singing worried about you what do you think

  • Os caras são FFFOOODDDAAAASSSS ,tem que aturar são PIKAS......A maior banda do mundo

  • I prefer to see a video that would be closer to the here and now date. This video is indeed wonderful, but I rathre like the up to date photos of Mick.

  • The Stones are the greatest band ever. Fuck the Beatles.

  • One of the best Stones ballads!!! Never get tired of listening to it. This video is quite homoerotic ha ha!!

  • I never saw this video B 4. Sent by @rollingstones50. Floating on air. Definately a Keeper as are the more recent Live Videos. Thank you, very very much Love

  • how much heroin is keith on in this video - and how did he contribute to so much great music on horse? and how is he still alive at near 70? a mystery

love this song - on one of the all-time great albums -- 'tattoo you' was a huge seller but underrated critically

  • The Stones = the video is pissed band etc, who cares ? , it shows the great players

  • this is not just music....its something else. Something better. and something I think we will never see again. Lets just enjoy it and be glad that we get it.

  • @brevardnewsnetwork Amen, bro

  • What a great performance. Once again, listening to The Stones brightens my mood for the rest of the evening.

  • one of my absolute favorites, if that's possible. The various levels this song hits is so crazy incredible; it leaves me speechless, other than to say "hats off to you guys...another masterpiece!" I love you forever....thanks for bringing me so much joy!

  • I love the bass line on this song. Then again I love everything about it.

  • I really don't give a shit who's playing the guitar solo. It's still a Stones song and I don't care if one of the Stones gets credit for it. They should get credit; they're good at faking it and they're amazing musicians anyway so they could play the damn solo if they had to. It's so annoying people trying to give credit to these unknown people.

  • That guitar solo fucking rules, fucking period you fuckingt lame ass posing, wish you had taste so you could enjoy said fucking solo, that your sorry ass is listeniing to, wishing upon a shining star that you reach for so desperately as the true love of it all leaves you soaking wet.

  • I'd really like to see either Mick & Ron make out or Mick & Keith. That would be hot!

  • 1:55 gives me orgasm

  • I'm addicted to this damn song. ....in case you didn't notice.

  • This song just gets more slurred and drunk and obnoxious as it goes on, but I love it.

  • Ronnie's attractive in this. However I'm forever a Mick fan.

  • i'd forgotten how good this song was. Thank u youtube & uploaders. Damn, i don't even know how: to upload, play music, sing, at all well, or at least confidently. I suppose i could compose something...however much this writing is like decomposing, worm-like writhings, or shall i say squirm-like writhings.

  • The Rolling Stones. You could be driving home at 2 in the morning in the pouring rain hungover have to go to work in the morning, or you could be lazing on your Southern porch in the middle of the summer, or you could be cruising down the highway without a care in the world. All while listening to them. They have songs to fit all these situations

  • How can Keith even stand up he's so drunk

  • Ahhhhh Mick drunk and ready for some rock n roll.. in the bedroom. I wish I was Bianca.

  • 4 People, just can't seem to ..fine there way......BABY!!!!

  • @jwindyboy Too unrealistic for video games.

  • *****

  • The very last shot....of this video...nice, real nice!

  • awesome rolling stones in a time when music was the best what more can I say

  • motown song, basically

  • Drug induced day's

  • Keith Richards coolest looking dude ever...Stones greatest band ever.

  • wow

  • best non-popular stones song by far - just awsome

  • it seems like this song co,es from the heart i wonder which girl they were singing about..if anybody knows please let me know...thanks ..and peace in the middle east

  • По моему они просто все в говно

  • I want Bill back.Darryl has nothing wrong, but Bill is the only one bass player of the Rolling Stones-

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM ...always have always will

  • It's the quintessential love song between two heterosexual guys, between two friends.

  • what kills me is it seems just like yesterday, hanging out at the little record store in bay bridge brooklyn when this came out, the line at the ticketron for tickets. but the years got behind us.

  • Love it!!

  • Even charlies cute in this one....

  • @ree691

Charlie is amazing, he went from thunderbird lookalike to hot to who remembers and back to just Charlie again, clad in his dressing gown and slippers when he quietly slips off the stage. So bemused the entire time, but what mean drums he always plays. Forever in the background, never making any grandiose statements about himself with the most famous and mesmerising glimmer twins strutting their antics in front of him for almost 50 years now. This is the one and only rock band ever!

  • @dq50 L;ESS IS BETTER

  • Ronnie's lead is so freaking great! They are all so cute in this Video!

  • @tigerfirefilms

Apparently Wayne Perkins actually played that lead break

  • @Bleadbelly1 You are correct sir. He did some awesome solos for the Stones on Black and Blue, apparently this song was done during those sessions. His melodic style was more like Mick Taylor's and part of me still wishes that, if they couldn't have MT, they would have hired Wayne Perkins.

  • @tigerfirefilms it's a left over song (the solo is played by Mick T)

  • @tigerfirefilms it's a left over song (the solo is played by Mick T) rumour has it it's even Wayne perkins (recorded during the Black and blue sessions) and it makes sence, try listning to hand of fate (it's the same feeling and sound)

  • the stones rule.

  • I'm gonna get stoned before I listen to this again, maybe it'll be a little better.Micks singing rules here.

  • Comment removed

  • Riveting guitar solo.

  • @Speedogreedo1 Yes, awesome guitar solo by WAYNE PERKINS, not Ron Wood as depicted in the vid. Spread the word. thumb this baby up to the top of the posts. The man deserves credit.

  • Ron Wood never played better, hahaha. It's called show-business and this is still rather harmless, compared to how far you can take that. Lots of examples, especially in the current music scene, where faking it is the new standard. BTW, it's common knowledge that most musicians hate to playback, let alone doing it to somebody else's music, which explains the expression on Wood's face.

  • Dub Dread!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks!! So good!!

  • mick is so sexy

  • @michelleleawaldrop i´m too!

  • Tattoo You is just a great albumn back to front.

  • @Dean100able Yup. You could play it backwards and it would still sound great!

  • This is now, and ever shall be, my favorite Rolling Stones song. And since they are my favorite rock group...there it is.

  • This whole album is GREAT! Play it start to finish - be a fan - put your headset on!

  • Goosebump material for sure....

  • Great track...Jagger's voice is amazing.

  • One can tell that Woody was hiting the freebase pipe hard here.

  • yea this is one of their lesser known ones but its a good one. i love keiths backing vocal.

  • TATTOO YOU WAS AGREAT RECORD.MY FAVORITE.EVERY TRACK WAS GOOD.

  • Fantastic Bill at the bass! I love it

  • Bill Wyman's face at 4:37 makes this video...lmao I love it. His face says it all! God I miss Bill. Stones haven't sounded the same since he left.

  • look at the size of the jack d lol

  • It's strange how they all looked young in the mid 70's (a bit f*cked up - but young) and then after new years eve when it became 1980 - bang - Jurassic park.

  • @bustedup LOL

  • @bustedup well, late '70s Keef traded heroin for massive qtys of Jack Daniels.

Tells you all you need to know about which drug is harder on the body...

  • @bcubed72 and the clothing, appearently :P

  • @bcubed72 He said in a recent interview he hadn't completely kicked the heroin until 1984. Maybe that's why Undercover sounds like such a crap album, cuz he was off the heroin.

  • I love this album but I didn't even know they made a video for it.

  • @die4eu What album is it on?

  • @Yellow4494 Tattoo You

  • Comment removed

  • @Yellow4494 Oh yeah. Reminds me I have to buy that album! Thanks

  • Cool!

  • Amazing play back ! .... for an amazing song.

  • hi ya maya

  • good tune , shite vid

  • Really, really good!! But I must admit, that I prefer the later version, when Mick really give it all it can take! It`s just so daring to mix the high and low parts in that way,and it turns out to one of the best songs---if not THE best at the moment! Greetings Skyperunner3.

  • A realy great song, from one of the last great Rolling Stones albums. What a train wreck of a video.

"Ok guys let's get this in one take, the spoons are cooling off, Keith needs to tie one off."

  • good video, but bad playback ...

  • ronnies solo is awesome fuck, this guys are the best

  • The solo is by Wayne Perkins who was auditioning for the Stones at the time as a possible replacement for Mick Taylor. By the time they shot this video Ron Wood was in the band. The song was recorded in 1975 but wasn't released until 1981 on Tattoo You.

  • wow i didnt know that tnx ma8

  • Huge Stones fan.But did not know that info bout Wayne Perkins. Thanks

  • @billiam77

"Start Me Up" also had its genesis in '75, under the proto title "Never Stop." Recording resumed in 1978-79, then retitled "Start It Up," for possible inclusion on either "Some Girls" or "Emotional Rescue."

  • @billiam77 Wayne Perkins also played on "Hand of Fate" and if I'm not mistaken, he played pedal steel on "Torn and Frayed".

  • No, it was Al Perkins who played on Torn & Frayed.

  • @xapuceros

    Try Wayne Perkins : )

  • @xapuceros

Al (Wayne) Perkins did not play on Torn & Frayed - it was Mick Taylor - when the recorded Exile On Main St in the south of France.

  • @rstrix36 If you read the credits of Exile On Main St, is AL PERKINS (not Mick Taylor nor Wayne Perkins) who plays pedal steel guitar.

  • @xapuceros I stand corrected. You're absolutely correct. I didn't realize your comment was referring back to SoberGeorge's, I thought you were referring to Wayne Perkins' lead guitar playing.

  • f ing good

  • You cant always get what you want^

  • Love this song. A phenomenal legendary band like the Stones shouldn't be made to lip sync and pretend to play their instruments. It's unnatural!

  • Not necessarily the best vocalist in the traditional sense, but Jagger often had a very expressive, creative and versatile way of singing. Much influenced by blues and later on soul and funk singers. The high part at 1:53 is rather moving.

Strange to see Ron Wood playback to a solo that was played in the studio by Wayne Perkins, but that's show-business, I guess.

  • Actually it's Mick Taylor's solo...

  • No, it was actually American guitarist Wayne Perkins doing the solo...the song was cut back in the early-mid 1970's when they were audtioning for a replacement for Mick Taylor. He did contribute his guitar to 2 songs off this album, tho'...the songs were "Tops" and "Waiting on a Friend" .

    Cheers.

  • It is Wayne Perkins. Listen to black and Blue and you can tell the difference. MT only played on "Tops" and "Waiting on a Friend" on Tattoo You.

  • they are the best, never gets old. amazing thanks

    \

  • Keef is specially sexy at this video.

    He is too much sensual...

  • in all career ?

  • how many records the stones sales in the world all?

  • At least 100 million.

  • I don't know if its because Charlie was the second oldest member of the band or if he was stoned but he just looks plum bored in pretty much every fuckin music video the stones did. He has this empty "what the fuck am I doin here?" expression on his face. Maybe he was tired of dealin with mick and keef's bitchin.

  • That's just Charlie's 'normal guy' attitude, which was vital to keeping the band glued together all these years. He's just a solid family man, still married to the same woman for nearly fifty years (as opposed to the others endless marriages and divorces), raises his Arabian horses and lives on a Scottish farm. He's the Buster Keaton of Rock - deadpan expression but doing what he does best.

  • "He's the Buster Keaton of Rock "

LOL, good one! A great description!

  • you are the baddest of the baddest my life my music is yours always n forever you are the SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Being the #1 Stones fan, this is a great song, but video is a joke. I'd rather see Mick singing for real, with sincerety.

  • They're still #1, and i'm still their #1 fan

  • Always interesting to see Mick in motion, the primal "current" permeating from his every pore......so called "evil"...unbound,manifested upon this plane......

  • Ronnie's so gorgeous in this.

  • Yes he is!

  • so's keef. but i love the way ronnie moves with the music.

  • Yes, they both are definitly. But Ronnie is my favorite. He's just so sexy, the way he moves, dresses. He's got that hot gypsy blood in him that makes him so irrisistable to me. :)

  • the stones are still the best band goin

  • So what? It was done in 1981. MTV had just started. No one took videos too seriously until MTV got popular.

More importantly, this is another good tune that should've been a hit. These guys have a lot of good songs that were never hits.

  • I love the Stones and I like their videos even this one, but this has to be the worst lip-sync video that they ever did.

  • If you wanna hear very special stones songs, write in the search window : mscl50 This guy uploaded more than 200 instrumenal and alternate versions.

  • "I just can't seem to, find my way..."

  • great falsetto by the man mick.

  • who's the lead gtr???? the same guy that did the kick arse solo on hand of fate, isn't it???? it 's not Woody! it's not Keith!

it's.... fuck me if i remember, howie mandel? does anyone know. it's a great solo!

  • Wayne Perkins, that's who did it! :-)

  • One of the best obscure rolling stone songs around!

  • no shit.

  • Fuck me,Mick sure has a great set of lungs in this song........

  • I love at the end when keith puts his arm on Mick's shoulder;cute. :)

  • @ReadyTeddy93 Dude when the word of Mick Jagger comin' they will talk about sex and orgy not cute :))

  • Allright mates, let's do this bloody video in one take. great song. classic visuals

  • hey gnd 567, who the fuck is the Cory Daniel Band ? And they do a stones song better than the stones ......get real !!!

  • Ok, maybe not BETTER but they put their own spin on it and I dig it.

  • alright man...fair enough. Rock on !!

  • Keith is scary-fucking-cool in this video.

  • The Stones wrote all of their best songs with Mick Taylor. Tattoo You was a compilation album of songs written in the 70's, but it is a great record. Emotional Rescue was a great record too.

  • haha bill is great...04:38

  • One of their best songs with one of their worst lip-synch videos.

  • Gee I wonder who Mick wrote this about :P

  • tha best los rolling stones lo mejor del rock

  • this is so classic jagger and I love Richards actin' like he's too cool...

  • Keith is too cool!

  • never heard of them

  • Ya musta been Da Runk!

  • The Rolling Stones were so great!!! (1962-1981) THE BEST!!! I wish they'd quitted in 1982....this video is great

  • I think they did a great proper comeback with A Bigger Bang and some really good new singles from Forty Licks...

  • I totally do agree with you, they should have stopped in that year... after that, all they done was, unfortunately, crap (or at least, a 98%)

  • you are, unfortunately crap, (or at least 100%)

  • @gotgreg92 LOL-----That`s a good one! Skyperunner3

  • Why should they have, then or ever? Millions, me amongst them, love everything they do. And as Keith says, he's too old to learn a trade. I hope they never stop.

  • los amooooooooo(L) son mi vidaaaaaaaa (L)

  • side two of this album is great. Underated

  • Definitely my favorite ballad off of Tattoo You

  • great song! but it looks like keith has two horns made of hair on his head! look close!

  • Probably the last time Mick stayed so close to Keith for more than 5 minutes. Nice ending to this video.

  • sometimes i worry girl, did ya ever really love me?

  • sacré mick!! quel talent!....

  • I love that song and the stones .

  • Here I am again, and you are too! Thank God and I can let my worry go for a while.

    Thank you for being here!!

  • !!! JACK DANIELS !!!

  • I worry that I may someday not find you here.

  • Great song. Bill Wyman once said he never felt nervous playing in front of 80,000 people but DID get nervous being filmed for videos. And you can see him get really self-conscious when the camera closes in on him at 4:33!

  • Charlie- too cool twirling his sticks & smirking! Ronnie stealing that shirt from his old mate Rod Stewart! Bill looking like he's gonna fall over laughing! Mick being campy faux "gay"! and Keith- damn brother looks like he actually brushed his hair here! god I love this fuckin band!

  • underrated song.beautiful.love it.

  • I LOVE this song. And I love the Rolling Stones. Keith looks really cool in this video.

  • Mick sos mi religion
