This is a WONDERFUL song. We have all felt this way, I was this way for a really long time after my wife and i divorced, we were together for 10 yrs. No ones fault, but i blamed myself. Every morning i didnt want to wake up, and it took me forever to get threw it, still havent fully. Skillet has become one of my very favourite bands. The lyrics are beautiful and the leadsinger really seems to put his soul into the songs. Don't wake me is a wonderful example for that.

I honestly don't care what religion you are, and I don't think that anyone shouldn't be allowed to listen to their music. It doesn't matter if you're a muslim, or a christian, these songs are beutiful, and give good messages, this shouldn't be burried under comment after comment of religous warfare.
As many people have said, Skillet (and religious music in general) needs their own version of Rock Band or Guitar Hero. The only way to find it in the games is either through DLC (for the idiots, DownLoad Content) or mods, and I believe that neither of these 2 options have the vocal option, which many religious songs (including this one) actually get their genre from (and plenty of people love singing Skillet's lyrics).
Indeed religious music in GENERAL, definitely needs to be allowed to enter the general media more so. For example, Rock band and Guitar hero, though normally they're rejected as they would most likely be seen as to controversial for a larger corporation to include into any such games. The songs are quite fun to sign I agree, and yet for some reason, they still reject these. I think they'd be a great hit if they made a game version of them, and it actually made it to the stores.
After the loss of a friend I could really relate to this song. This whole album, with the help of God, gave me the strength to get back up and to keep going. I don't know what I would have done without them. Now I have let go of all my unhappy memories and given them up to God. I have learned that even though my friend is gone she is not forgotten. I live for her and God.

@Shadowsheartrose15 I do agree with most of what you said, but one thing I gotta comment on, they are a christian band, and quite a few of their songs are very religous. I honestly don't care what religion you are, and I don't think that anyone shouldn't be allowed to listen to their music. It doesn't matter if you're a muslim, or a christian, these songs are beutiful, and give good messages, this shouldn't be burried under comment after comment of religous warfare.

As many people have said, Skillet (and religious music in general) needs their own version of Rock Band or Guitar Hero. The only way to find it in the games is either through DLC (for the idiots, DownLoad Content) or mods, and I believe that neither of these 2 options have the vocal option, which many religious songs (including this one) actually get their genre from (and plenty of people love singing Skillet's lyrics).

Indeed religious music in GENERAL, definitely needs to be allowed to enter the general media more so. For example, Rock band and Guitar hero, though normally they're rejected as they would most likely be seen as to controversial for a larger corporation to include into any such games. The songs are quite fun to sign I agree, and yet for some reason, they still reject these. I think they'd be a great hit if they made a game version of them, and it actually made it to the stores.

After the loss of a friend I could really relate to this song. This whole album, with the help of God, gave me the strength to get back up and to keep going. I don't know what I would have done without them. Now I have let go of all my unhappy memories and given them up to God. I have learned that even though my friend is gone she is not forgotten. I live for her and God.

all this time ive been listening to alternative songs on the radio i had no idea that fly leaf of skillet were christian bands, but now that i hear them from the christian perspective it makes the song ten times better. Also, goes to show how God blesses those who attest to Christ's goodness, with fly leaf and skillet having two of the top selling albums in 2010
