@acekingie It has been good again for very specific shots. I don't use it as much as I thought I would use it for for each video i was working on, I would use it 3-5 times in a 5-7 minute video/short/promo. It really depends on the music you use and what type of video you make. As for travel, it is very nice! I took it to Africa to shoot some shots and you can literally carry it onto the plane on a tripod type bag.
And the 1 meter would def have a huge portion of it sticking out behind you. And there is no weight to counter-balance it either so you have to keep that in mind if you are going to get the 1 meter.
The advantage with the 1 meter is if you have the room to travel with it, is that you can really get that longer pan shot. But I would think that shot would be for a very specific shot. And i don't think you would have many of those shots but it depends on what you need it for.
I got the .5 meter one. Having used it for a while now, the reason why you would want the .5 vs the 1 meter are these. 1) if you are going to travel, the .5 is compact so you can repackage it in the box it came with and put it in your luggage bag or even carry it in the box on the plane. Basically, if you travel a lot or want to be more mobile, .5 is the way to go. 2) If you get a 1 meter, you'll need a really sturdy and heavy tripod. With the .5, i had to get a manfrotto one for stability
Thanks for this video and review. Did you get the 1 meter length then? If so, wondering if the 30 inch would fit better on the sholder, or how much is actually sticking out behind you.
Great review. How has it faired since? I'm considering getting the 0.5 meter one myself.
