Hi there. Could you please kindly tell me how to measure contact angle on the porous structure? Can we use the 2 different types of liquid? FYI, what I've read from the journal, for the non-ideal surfaces, you need to use the Wenzel's model in which correlate with the roughness factor (r). Moreover, can I just measure the water contact angle of my porous scaffolds (made from PHB) and then modulate based on the Wenzel's equation to get the surface energy of PHB?
@saifulanis80 You can read about Wenzel's equation on Wikipedia (look up wetting). I guess it's possible to do that, if you know the roughness ratio, r. But I never tried to do it, because r is difficult to get at. I don't know if 2 liquids help, either, I cannot see a logical way to utilize that.
Orait then! thanks for the info. ;)
