with a proper water level you can't really hear it, especially with the doors shut. however if the level drops, say due to evaporation, it'll be loud enough to remind to you top off.
CAN I put a biocube skimmer in my sump fish tank should that be fine? the biocube fish tank has a sump built in right? does the sump looks almost the same as the biocube sump right?
i don't have a biocube so i can't say for sure, but i don't think you need a sump for a biocube. if you want one, they may make small HOB refugiums that may work. you'll have to google it up because i have no experience with that, sorry
you don't need a stong skimmer for a 20g nano, if the skimmer is built for the nano it should be fine. i don't think you really need a seperate tank for your nano's sump, you can check out those little hang-on sumps/refugiums.
a sump is just another container to hold water, and it's connected to the main tank. it provides more water volume for your tank, a space to put your equipment to save space in your main, and it also provides a refuge for delicate organisms.
sumps are usually place underneath or above your main tank and are usually too big to put inside other tanks. you can, however, get hang-on-back or in-tank refugiums.
does it make the mushroom purple when you are using a 10 gallon sump tank? can the 10 gallon sump tank fit in a 20 gallon fish tank or a 10 gallon fish tank?
I am starting a marine aquarium and am looking at a 10 gallon sump to a 55 gallon tank and that seems to be your setup.
Obviously then the skimmer works fine in such a small sump, correct?

how loud is the water coming out of the outlet of the skimmer? how much higher is your outlet than the surface of the water?
