I reject your statements.There is no proof that Luther was a Nazi. He lived centuries before Nazism. He said some anti semitic things but he never advocated the Jews' extermination. The Church started as the original 12 Apostles who wrote the Bible. The Council of Carthage 397 A.D. provided the forum to settle the Canon which to catalogue the New Testament and was eventurally sent to the Roman Pontiff for confirmation.

I am a former Fundamental Baptist....VERY well versed in scripture and committed to Jesus Christ. I will not try to convince you here, but I will tell you that most of what those who hate the church know about Catholicism is what they've read or what they've been told, or even partial truths. You take Yallop's words and present them as fact without doing any research of your own. Shame. If you wish to discuss this further it is welcome, and you also mention in passing Pope Pius XII as some sort of Nazi sympathizer, which isn't true (as I can show). Yallop does not appear to be a practicing Catholic (an article cites him as agnostic) and he has written several books which might be classified as 'crime'. Investigative though he may be, I see no indication that he is qualified.

Sounds like a good book. I'm currently working on "The Yugoslav Auschwitz and the Vatican" by Vladimir Dedijer AND "Jasenovac and the Holocaust in Yugoslavia" by the Jasenovac Research Institute.
Both books have many facts that support the same thing I heard you just mention. THey talk about how the Pope made Ante Pavelic gifts with his own hands.
In the book "Pope or President" (1858) it talks about how the Catholic Church is responsible for removing the bibles from the public schools

I reject your statements.There is no proof that Luther was a Nazi. He lived centuries before Nazism. He said some anti semitic things but he never advocated the Jews' extermination. How could he; he was a real Christian? As for the Lutheran church in WW2; it had become so liberal and corrupted it was no longer Luther's church.
As for the make up of the Nazis, almost all their leaders were Roman Catholic: Hitler, Goebels, Himmler, Heydrich, Hess, the man who ran Auschwitz too, Hoess, Frank etc.

What I mean by saying that Luther was a Nazi, I don't mean to imply that he was a member of the National Socialist Pary. Of course not ! What I mean by that; was, that Martin Luther was one of the earliest haters and persecutors of the jewish community in European history. That's a fact. BTW the Nazis were put in power in Germany by the enabling act of the Centrum party. The Centrum party was in fact the Roman Catholin party.

While Pius XII was the representative of the Vatican for Germany purposes (not being the Pope yet ) he speeched out of 44 times, in the number of 40 to strike nazism. Also, the chief-rabi of the Rome Synagogue accompanied Pius XII, along with more jews, to cease speaking against nazism being that more were killed due to that - fire is not put out by alcohol. Mainly, they worked behind the curtains to save from 770 to 880 thousand jew lives. More research to open our views should arise.

@mystic81006 I disagree. First off, your thinking of a "church" as a structure. The RC Church teaches that The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, plus it's people. Not necesssary a building. The Church started as the original 12 Apostles who wrote the Bible. The Council of Carthage 397 A.D. provided the forum to settle the Canon which to catalogue the New Testament and was eventurally sent to the Roman Pontiff for confirmation.

I did some research and my sources say after Christ died and as more time elapsed, there was an urging to write the Word, to keep it pure. And that only 5 of the original 12 wrote anything. Overall, I agree with you on some, still disagree on other points. Youtube is not quite the place to go into "detailed" explanantions, you know?

I am a former Fundamental Baptist....VERY well versed in scripture and committed to Jesus Christ. I will not try to convince you here, but I will tell you that most of what those who hate the church know about Catholicism is what they've read or what they've been told, or even partial truths. You just assume that Catholics do not read or study the scriptures and that is WRONG. You just assume that they have not questioned the same things about hte Church that you have. I love being Catholic.
