You know what? I LIKE the new Daleks. Mostly. I like that they're bigger. It makes them much more imposing, more threatening. The eyestalk looks nice. I even like the outline of the new design. The only real problem I have (and it is a huge, MASSIVE problem) is just the pastel colour scheme - it just looks silly, and if there's anything the Daleks are not, it's silly. Just change the colours, and they'd be fine.
I still PREFER the old design, but the new one isn't as bad as people think.

An excellent continuation of the events of "Remembrance Of The Daleks", thought It would've been cool if the events of the 1996 TV movie were taken into account, to explain why the Doctor didn't question the continued existence of Skaro at the beginning of it, even though he thought he blew it up with a supernova in "Remebrance Of The Daleks".

@yokidboy Umm i couldn’t quite understand that, but if its to do with the paradigm not existing to get Caan to the past, well they do if you understand paradoxes. you see when Caan is sent to the past he creates the Geneticist who creates the progenitors that go to the future (one to ww2 ) which see a group of Daleks (sent by Caan in his prophecy’s) who then find and create the new Daleks. Who then realise how they came to be, so capture Caan to do it all again, i.e. Paradox

@tangerinealarm Thank you but the animation could have been smoother i just compensated between making it look pretty and doing its job or animating it perfect but no time to work on lighting and rendering. Overall I’m happy
@puma7372 quite so. It would be cool if they made the Daleks entireley in CGI at some point in the future. This vid proves that they would look very good and possibly better in some cases if they were CGI creations as opposed to props.

DAleks arnt afraid of time. when Caan finds out the new daleks are paradoxes, he thinks about messing up time, but when he finds out that the daleks wouldnt exist, he knows he has to do this

@himynameisben95 Regarding Skaro, it's still there in current Doctor Who canon - we visit it in the first of the official adventure games. Timelash's story looks like it's going to explain how that came to be. On the emotive voice of the Supreme Dalek, that' something that's always been there, right back to the first time we saw a Supreme in the 1960s - they are intelligent and proud. This has been particularly highlighted in the revived series too.
@TheShadowCow Oh, I've been meaning to play the Adventure Games. Well then, I guess this has pretty much nothing wrong with it then :P The Dalek voices are extremely good.
So rendering is on and off at the moment I would have liked it to be out last month as I planned but other work has meant a small halt on production. it does happen but it will be out soon have patients.
I have rendered over half of the animation, it will probably be out the end of October begin of November.
the reasons for this is I have been busy with other projects one really big one which I cannot say till I've been told I can, one project for ITV which is now finished and two other small projects that I am waiting to hear back on.
Watched this for a second and third time, it is fast becoming one of my favourite Dalek stories! Excited to see Caan on Skaro in the city (if that's the focus) I love the idea on NSD's and MK1's mingling. If I could buy this on DVD I would!
Have you read in "The Dalek Handbook"? that when the 4th doctor went to Skaro before the Daleks became a major power he changed the timeline and set them back a 1000 years so the Dalek stories of 1st to 3rd never happened.
So it appears the Paradigm Daleks are from the original timeline which means 2 timelines are no co-existing.
@badwolf66 he also said something along the lines of "on the time scale no mroe than that"... so.. im going to go along with... the 4th doctor did set the daleks back 1000 .. they had to rely on the silly metal floors... then walaa they updated bla bla bla bla... all hail the daleks

I suppose 1 Dalek group did think of a way out and then invaded Earth (DIoE) and another group discovered time travel (The Chase) it was all going so well until the human factor came into existence and boom Empire 1 destroyed (EotD) what remained of the daleks were scattered into space and were controlled by a supreme Dalek. until the end of (DttD)
So he went back in time and all of the above never happened...
@MrSlashblaster I modelled and animated them in Cinema 4d the same way you would make, Shrek or Toy Story. Have loads of patience while it renders. Add Visual effects using After effects. Edit it together with audio and then it’s done.
Just an update part two is going a little slower than planed as I have been working hard on a well known tv show (I cant say what it is but I can say its not Doctor Who before you get excited) .
Anyways the animated shots are about a quarter of the way done so still a while to go please be patient.
Wow, so much canongasm, references to 'The Daleks' (where the Thals live in the forests of Skaro) 'Remembrance of The Daleks' (where The Doctor uses the Hand of Omega to trick Davros into blowing up Skaro), and Caan meeting the Paradigm Daleks. This looks legit, the voices and sounds. Did you make this or just upload it? I'm very curious. =D

It sure was brilliant :) The only thing I can find that was slightly negative to say is the the supreme dalek's voice had around 10% too much emotion behind, granted it would have more emotion and personality than the others, given it being a supreme leader, but I think it should have been more sinister, anyway that's practically just a slight nitpick, it was still 5 star work :)

BTW: For people who have remembrance issues, these are explained in the 8th Doctor Dalek novels published by BBC - but I'm happy to have it re-explained or changed here since;
a. The video is so good.
b. The theory is that time is shifting all over the place, so past events can be rewritten.
@Timelord114 he is in that episode, but if you remember who caan? is he was part of the cult of skaro he saw time it changed his mind about the daleks. my animation is set before he saw time before he went insane and good. but was it good? the purity of the daleks is gone the paradigm are pure it is in his nature to save the daleks thats why the cult was created in the first place. remember daleks are minipulators and without giving away to much info for part three i will end it there :)
@timelash Dude, I HATE the look of the new Daleks - but so far, your story is proper bad-assed and is making me change my mind a little. Well done fitting together Classic-Who Dalek history FLAWLESSLY. I just hope the BBC/Terry Nation Estate dosen't get all retarded and make you take this down (Pst! Hire the man instead!). This was fantastically well designed - even the Paradign Daleks don't seem as annoying as they used to! Love the idea of Daleks affecting their own history - and I'm interested given what the Dalek Supreme said that the original Skaro Daleks might appear in the next episode! Others have said that this will explain how Dalek Caan got into the Time War and you confirmed it. But it did mention Skaro being destroyed by the Hand of Omega in Remembrance of the Daleks. But it still remained, as it appeared at the beginning of the TV Movie, and later during the Adventure Game, City of the Daleks. Will this also exlain how Skaro remained after the Hand destroyed it. My theory is that the Daleks made a decoy of Skaro for safety, and the Hand destroyed it instead.
@paulo9991 a entire race of daleks and only 1 timelord left , yep the daleks won it and if you think about it, its ironic from my point of view the time war began when the doctor tricked davros into destroying skaro(or so we thought lol) and it ended when the doctor was forced to end the war by destroying his homeworld kinda ironic
@Gb8studios Well when Caan goes back in time the temporal phase shift device he takes with him sets Skaro out of phase, so when Skaro's sun goes super nova in the past the shock wave misses Skaro as it is no longer in our reality saving it from destruction
Well that's my point of view on the subject. I was going to go down the rout of having a duplicate but wouldn't the sun going super nova destroy both planets, so this made it simple and plausible. I almost left it out of the animation.

Watched this for a second and third time, it is fast becoming one of my favourite Dalek stories! Excited to see Caan on Skaro in the city (if that's the focus) I love the idea on NSD's and MK1's mingling. If I could buy this on DVD I would!

Have you read in "The Dalek Handbook"? that when the 4th doctor went to Skaro before the Daleks became a major power he changed the timeline and set them back a 1000 years so the Dalek stories of 1st to 3rd never happened.
So it appears the Paradigm Daleks are from the original timeline which means 2 timelines are no co-existing.

I suppose 1 Dalek group did think of a way out and then invaded Earth (DIoE) and another group discovered time travel (The Chase) it was all going so well until the human factor came into existence and boom Empire 1 destroyed (EotD) what remained of the daleks were scattered into space and were controlled by a supreme Dalek. until the end of (DttD)
So he went back in time and all of the above never happened...

@MrSlashblaster I modelled and animated them in Cinema 4d the same way you would make, Shrek or Toy Story. Have loads of patience while it renders. Add Visual effects using After effects. Edit it together with audio and then it’s done.

Just an update part two is going a little slower than planed as I have been working hard on a well known tv show (I cant say what it is but I can say its not Doctor Who before you get excited) .
Anyways the animated shots are about a quarter of the way done so still a while to go please be patient.

Wow, so much canongasm, references to 'The Daleks' (where the Thals live in the forests of Skaro) 'Remembrance of The Daleks' (where The Doctor uses the Hand of Omega to trick Davros into blowing up Skaro), and Caan meeting the Paradigm Daleks. This looks legit, the voices and sounds. Did you make this or just upload it? I'm very curious. =D

It sure was brilliant :) The only thing I can find that was slightly negative to say is the the supreme dalek's voice had around 10% too much emotion behind, granted it would have more emotion and personality than the others, given it being a supreme leader, but I think it should have been more sinister, anyway that's practically just a slight nitpick, it was still 5 star work :)

BTW: For people who have remembrance issues, these are explained in the 8th Doctor Dalek novels published by BBC - but I'm happy to have it re-explained or changed here since;
a. The video is so good.
b. The theory is that time is shifting all over the place, so past events can be rewritten.

@Timelord114 he is in that episode, but if you remember who caan? is he was part of the cult of skaro he saw time it changed his mind about the daleks. my animation is set before he saw time before he went insane and good. but was it good? the purity of the daleks is gone the paradigm are pure it is in his nature to save the daleks thats why the cult was created in the first place. remember daleks are minipulators and without giving away to much info for part three i will end it there :)

@timelash Dude, I HATE the look of the new Daleks - but so far, your story is proper bad-assed and is making me change my mind a little. Well done fitting together Classic-Who Dalek history FLAWLESSLY. I just hope the BBC/Terry Nation Estate dosen't get all retarded and make you take this down (Pst! Hire the man instead!). I SWEAR TO GOD I want to blow my face off every time I do search for Dalek Animation and my results yeild some bullshit a 6yr old did with LEGO/Action Figures.

This was fantastically well designed - even the Paradign Daleks don't seem as annoying as they used to! Love the idea of Daleks affecting their own history - and I'm interested given what the Dalek Supreme said that the original Skaro Daleks might appear in the next episode! Looking forwards to the next installment! :)

Others have said that this will explain how Dalek Caan got into the Time War and you confirmed it. But it did mention Skaro being destroyed by the Hand of Omega in Remembrance of the Daleks. But it still remained, as it appeared at the beginning of the TV Movie, and later during the Adventure Game, City of the Daleks. Will this also exlain how Skaro remained after the Hand destroyed it. My theory is that the Daleks made a decoy of Skaro for safety, and the Hand destroyed it instead.

@Gb8studios Well when Caan goes back in time the temporal phase shift device he takes with him sets Skaro out of phase, so when Skaro's sun goes super nova in the past the shock wave misses Skaro as it is no longer in our reality saving it from destruction
Well that's my point of view on the subject. I was going to go down the rout of having a duplicate but wouldn't the sun going super nova destroy both planets, so this made it simple and plausible. I almost left it out of the animation.

This was truly amazing, the story is so well blended with the actual Doctor Who storylines. And the Voices are Spot on (unlike many fanmade videos). Really enjoyed it and can't wait for part 2!
