I wonder why Urdu songs in Indian movies are called Hindi? Hindi has a different origin and alphabets, vocabulary and accent.
Urdu has Arabic alphabets, Persian and Turkish background with some Sansikrat words. Allmost all famous Indian movies, are basicall famous because they got Urdu songs.....Right!!!
@hira1ft I hope you've read Mir Amman Dehlavi's 'Baagh-o-Bahaar'...let me quote...." Now, the excellent and liberal gentleman, the judge of respectable men, with kindness said to me, "Translate this tale into the pure Hindustani tongue, which the Urdu people, both Hindus and Musalmans, high and low, men, women and children, use to each other."
Such is the history of our Hindustani tongue of which you seem blissfully unaware.
Thumbs up if you like this song 3/2/12

@hira1ft Yes this is Hindi song with Urdu words. Or you can say Urdu song with Hindi words.
What a big deal. ...
Nowadays you find songs with more English words.
Just enjoy the songs.
BTW Hindi & Urdu aren't very distinct. (distinct though)
