Because Phelps was overloaded in Beijing? Look, I'm a Lochte fan too, but he wasn't as good then, and if Phelps wasn't being lazy and concentrating on his favorite's now, Lochte wouldn't have a shot at that record. I think the day Lochte gets the 400 IM record, if it ever comes, is the day Phelps gets mad and gets training hard again.
