  • Just found this band... Must go and buy everything they've ever done...

  • I'm thinking about making a music video to this song, I made one for a TMBG contest and it was pretty fun.

  • @arabianzeppelin David guetta blows.

  • I can't help but feel the world would be a different place if everyone just listened to songs/bands like this, Dr.Dog is just so timeless.

  • Did you take these photos?

  • dr.dog your music has been like medecine ,to me this song has captured that timeless feel ,thanks,heeeeeeyyyy....

  • Come into my room and sing harmonies to me please.

  • watching them tonight live. Be jelly. Very jelly.

  • Good thing we can all at least agree I have the best taste in music.

  • I met these guys about 3 or 4 years ago in the back of the Cellar Door in Visalia, CA. They were touring with 3 bands and all sharing the same equipment. After their sound check they came out in the daylight in the back of this small club where I happened to be. I asked them what band they were with and I had never heard of them before. I remarked that it was a strange name and questioned whether it was meant to be God backwards, Just an ambiguous response by them. Two years later I realize

  • @robotguitar1 So then you do think it is god backwards. Why?

  • Bowie anyone? "Soul Love"

  • @alvids333 great song, one of my favs of bowie's but eh not quite seein it this song to be honest haha

  • @GrannyDances the style of singing reminds me so much of Bowie

  • thumbs up if this band has all good songs for skate videos

  • Sounds like something george harrison would write.

  • time takes care of me :)

  • ain't it strange amen

  • why would 6 people dislike this?

  • Zak Depiero

  • Reminds me a LOT of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

  • @acidjack73 that's funny cause this reminds me of Dr. Dog.

  • @acidjack73 really? the same ELO that wrote Evil Woman? i dont think i hear it...

  • @mattmonson7 ELO went through several phases and styles. This is very reminiscent of stuff like Can't Get You Out of My Head, Mr. Blue Sky, and Telephone Line. Not meant to detract from them - every band has influences.

  • i just hit the like button about 800 times

  • you mean... there is another... cd....before fate and shame shame... oh my

  • @ledzepzoso03

is the picture at 3.33 emerald bay in lake tahoe?

  • This song is awesome

  • fantastic

  • @evergreen9375 Then go suck David Guetta's auto-tuned dick ya cunt.

  • Comment removed

  • @evergreen9375 Your gay for even complementing justin beiber. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Try that.

  • @OurBabyDolphus Well I don't listen to bad music, and I wasnt complementing Justin Beiber LOLz, I was saying this song sucks so bad that Justin Beiber is better..... get it?

And granted this is all subjective but all I said was that imo good music is in tune and not sung off key. So basically I was shocked at how many ppl actually like this song.

  • @evergreen9375 "Good music" is in tune huh? justin bieber sings in tune... ive never searched his videos but i hear theyre not hard to find

  • @evergreen9375 you must be a tone deaf retard man...i dont think you realize that almost all popular music these days uses something called "auto-tune" because they dont know how to sing. these guys are epic...and he know how to sing...

  • @doug92065 Just fuck you so much. WHen someone starts to trash talk pop music for generic reasons like this, I lose all respect for them entirely.

  • @evergreen9375 hahaha you dont know shit about music, this guys has a very different voice,, tune up your radio and drive to nowhere,, cause thats where your musical knowledge will take you,, haahhaaa so lame dude.. so lame

  • @FEZZARONNI He does have a different voice and good music is subjective. That still doesn't change the fact the song is sung out of tune. And you have no way of knowing the background of my musical knowledge so don't make absurd assertions, they just paint a negative picture of you.

  • @evergreen9375 Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Clash, Devo, even the Beatles would often sing/play "out of tune". Surely an octave can be subdivided more than 12 times, right? If you want something to really blow your mind, listen to Harry Partch. Ahahahahahahaha.

  • @evergreen9375 This band recorded with nothing but very old recycled equipment on the back of old track tapes when this and their older albums were recorded. the most lo fi you could imagine.. and they still managed to write some of the best songs and produce great harmonies and have fun when they were very young and unknown. They were a local band with no money and made it out of the basement. Yes.. music is very subjective..and we like it.

  • @evergreen9375 haha gross? your such a fuckin mook! don't click on a song just to trolll, ESPECIALLY if you're trollin on teh Dr.!

  • @2Pockets0 Not trollin, I found this song because my phone's song finder gave me this song info, so I looked it up later and was extremely disappointed in the song as I think we all would be if we find some random song that we think is god awful, obviously a mistake on the song finders part :P

  • What does the voice say at 1:58-2:01?

  • You know what's not strange? Yet another Dr. Dog song that's dead on, perfect, amazing.

  • I'm old school pop music...McCartney, Lennon, Wilson, Lynn, etc. Dr. Dog has succeeded in recapturing a lot of that magic. The harmonies and musical antics in many of their songs recall an earlier era. How refreshing to hear this music, especially when contrasted to what tries to pass for modern pop today. Rock on, Dog!

  • im here

  • This song is like a burst of summer in a prolonged year of a dreary winter.

  • In these first albums (and in my opinion, largely this track) it's as if they took the best of Brian Wilson, Beatles, and Bowie and just ran with it. Coming up to the music magic level of those fellas - if not surpassing them!

  • sounds like morning benders

  • @aznboiXIII no the morning benders sound like this.

  • @guitar9595 right...dr. dog is superior to the morning benders

  • Jesus walked on water while listening to this song

  • @MenofWomb jesus didn't walk on water ;)

  • this is accually sooooo good!

  • I wish i could thumbs this up a million times

  • my favorite song. great lyrics. wonderful band. i find myself having dr.dog songs stuck in my head all day at school.

  • i dont know how anyone could have a heart to dislike dr. dog

  • Can't stop listening to this.

  • Dr. Dog is awesome. You can really hear a clear Beatles influence on this track

  • i guess two people wereint strange

  • whoever dislikes this needs to eat poop.

    Fecal bellied fuckers.

  • i wonder how they get that sound. that old sound. i don't mean the type of music, but the recording is great.

  • @imacomputer101 its lo fi music. They record using older equipment or equipment of less quality on purpose for that sound.

  • @imacomputer101 I CCCCCC

  • @imacomputer101 I'M talking about nothing really....i only wanted to say hi!!!!

  • @imacomputer101 lo fideliss my freind. your a computer you should know

  • a beautiful song. i've been listening to it on repeat. reminds me a tad of bowie

  • Best Dr. Dog guitar solo of all time. And actually around 3:14 and on is just awesome...

  • @89downer from0.00 is just awesome

  • @89downer definitely agree

  • idk why everyone is always talking about modern music being terrible. it's really not. mainstream shit is worse than ever, but that's not news. there are so many talented bands today that deserves respect.

  • Utah? Wyoming? Where?

  • when i first heard this song i didn't realize i was swaying until halfway through

  • I like the picture with the "Where the water meets the sky" line. nicely done!

  • iiiii love it

  • i wish it was longer. i could listen to that for awhile.

  • BEATLES ARE BACK!!!

  • can you upload- Say Ahh from Toothbrush pleaseeee

  • I've been planning to upload all of Toothbrush. I'll get working on that next time I have some free time.

  • I spent so much time on my own, teaching myself guitar and thinking about what style to develop, and I then I find a band that outdoes me. How I love these guys.

  • man this sounds like the band being fronted by a beatle playing alternative rock.... sick

  • @rambleonrose93 forgive me for commenting on my own post, but i forgot about hearing this until i saw this comment, i thought it seemed familar, wow thats weird

  • Why do bands without any heart or soul in their music receive such "glorious" credit from pitchfork while Dr. Dog keeps the spirit-of-it-all in theirs music?

  • pitchfork is terrible. look at their top 10 of '09. Phoenix and the xx's? who the fuck are these xx assholes. I bet raekwon is embarrassed to be on the same list. this song shall own forever.

  • I know exactly what you mean. It's the same with Megafaun. They actually have some heart and they don't get anywhere near the amount of press that vapid bands like Fleet Foxes and Mumford do.

    What is wrong with everyone...

  • you think Fleet Foxes are vapid? I really dig them just as much as Dr. Dog and Megafaun. I don't get why people have to hate on bands to make a point about their fave bands not getting enough recognition. Come on now. There's enough love for everybody. :)

  • @charliebubblesoar

    true true

  • @charliebubblesoar yes, thank youuu.

  • i love this band so much if only their were more like them they are one of a kind by far one of my favorites

  • A good friend of mine just introduced this to me! Awesome!

  • Beautiful. Loving the sleigh bells too.

  • Dr. Dog is good. Very good.

  • I heard this song sophmore year of high school (I'm now a freshman in college) and searched for it forever and ever, and now I have finally found it!

    Seriously my favorite song... ever.

  • That's kind of what happened to me, only I heard it when I was a senior in high school and found it just now (freshman in college).

Amazing Song! Especially that break down at 3:15.

  • @kaylablotch I just found out about these guys and I'm about to go into sophmore year....they are really good.

  • Dr Dog is amazing. Hands down. They have restored my faith in modern music.

  • Well they are excellent, but think about it, music has to change. Although I hate modern music, this is more classic rock, David Bowie, Beatles, kind of stuff, and is great, but there are still superb bands out there, you just have to be willing to give the time of day up.

  • haha i completely agree, my friend

  • i know right. you should check out the Starlight Mints. they are also pretty good. i think. =)

  • @SecludedMemory wurd

  • The crowd of instruments sound like best friends re-uniting!

  • Have not heard this song in almost 2 years. Thanks bro-needed this.

  • some of the best lyrics i have ever heard
