Sirenia and Leave's Eyes are my favorites in this genre, the only other ones i listen to are Angtoria and a bit of Evanescence (which is more Hard Rock) Apart from these bands i listen to brutal, harsh Black and Death Metal bands \m/

You did good but Delian and Leaves Eyes are not really playing gothic metal. Delain is symphonic metal. Leaves Eyes is Symphonic Folk metal. All the other band fit though.

I think you have made a great job..because begginers, especially in the gothic metal music scene, tent to add bands as Nightwish ans within Temptation as gothic Metal..and that's a big mistake..the may do have some gothic influences but they are not Gothic Metal..:)

My favorite of your favorites is Sirenia. Sirenia has a nice symphonic/gothic sound. Nightwish with Tarja had some pretty gothic songs. Tarja with Nightwish should be on there somewhere, somehow. :)

@GraceyGacia93 Epica,Within Temptation, and Nightwish are in my Symphonic Metal video, tho I do agree that they have a gothic metal twist. Same with Delain, but I just decide to put it here. As much as I love Evanescence, I think they have to many influences and components to be considered gothic metal. I think of them as more of a sort of alternative rock with dark symphonic, gothic pop, and metal influences. But they're my fave band of all time

evanescence is a gothic metal band. people just can't accept it because they started out commercially. but with their second album and ben moody's departure,their music became heavier and a lot gothic. listen to their snow white queen, lacrymosa and only one

I know all those songs. I'm a huge Evanescence fan. I agree that The Open Door is heavier and has more gothic qualities due to the departure of Ben Moody. I just don't consider it a gothic metal band. I consider it a alternative metal/rock band with gothic, pop, and other influences.

@VampiresBiteHard666 Trust me. I've listened to Evanescence all my life. I agree that the songs have a gothic metal twist to them....but they still have more of the alternative style to them. Even Amy said so herself that they were alternative. I think that some exceptions are Lies and Understanding. Those sound more off alternative and more towards gothic metal.

My favorite gothic bands are Elis,Sirenia and Trail of Tears! and I would have rather put WT here than Delain, I think Delain is symphonic metal.

oh, i prefer Elis over Lacuna. I didn't put them in any order of preferance, i just put them in what pictures and songs i had first. i just kinda splattered it all together. I like Elis better. :)

Well, on the symphonic metal one, i forgot Delain and i freaked so i put it on this one. oh well.
