I'm pretty sure this isn't why, but there is an Elliott Smith song called "Georgia, Georgia." That's really the only thing that comes to mind, and it's most likely not the reason. But could be, cause Elliott Smith was a hugely influential artist (even though Surfer Blood don't sound like Smith).

@monganonga Hey, at the beggining I thought the same, the part before 3:20 I thought it was crappy, the annoying guitar and taht "georgia,georgia", but the more i listen this song, the more i think without that part the 3:20 part wouldn't be such awesome, it's like a long travel, it makes sense toghether, but if they were separated, it wouldn't be the same (it's my opinion), anyway, awesome band (anyone doesn't understand the comparations with beach boys? they're completely different!)
