G2 Would have worked better if it was new cartoon and only ran some of the old episodes to re-introduce the concept. and only featured new toys. Beast wars would have never took off had it not had it's own cartoon series.and moved to all new molds.
They were basically Reversioning old G1 transformers episodes to sell the newer toys the presentation was basically viewing old transformers stories on the space cube as history while the comic told the story involving the current toys. it failed to work since you could get TV accurate toys at a thrift shop , your attic,or an flea market. the episode selection omitted some of the better episodes dropping ones that introduced the two of the combiners that got re-issued.

not a rerun but more like a 'special edition' that was presented as a 'new' show. its one of those bad Hasbro attempts to earn a buck by spending very little.

the cybernet space cube scene transitions get really annoying, but you would have had no choice if you wanted to watch any Transformers show in the early 90's, and were living in North America.
Generation 2 was really pointless, because it defeated the very reason why Hasbro cancelled G1 in the first place after the short-lived Season 4 (e.g. The Rebirth).
Hasbro and Sunbow/Marvel should have worked on the Japanese TF G1 series (Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone) instead rather than re-release G1 with these transitions and make it appear as G2.
What hapened to target and head masters. Jeez, this just G1. Rip off. I thought this was continuing the last episode with the target and head masters!

Well, G2 was just G1 repackaged with annoying scene changes, pointless picture in picture moments, and an absolutely terrible intro/outro. Long story short, just go watch G1 it's all the awesome with none of the gimmick.
