I agree in the sense that what I have always been taught was "at 6 o clock your knees should be slightly bent with toes pointed slightly down". But the key here is with toes pointed down, your heel is Above the pedal. In this video however, notice that he says "6 o clock, heel Below the pedal and knee straight". I'm no expert but if I pushed my heel below my pedal at 6 o clock on my bike, my knee would be straight just as shown in the vid. That could be the difference.
