@TheWhiteShaded Probably cos in festivals, bands have a very limited and tight schedule to play. So I´d much rather pay money to see bands play than chit chat :) Songs tend to be bit faster when you play live, I´ve noticed that with my own band.

So, I switched to using a double kick (pedal)." Aside from that, have you heard "Moby Dick", it painfully obvious. That and "Black Dog" have some nick flams and double strokes that you can't do without a double pedal, it's humanly impossible... Unless you're Hellhammer...

Give me a link to that interview, I HIGHLY doubt this. Especially since double strokes are very possible with one foot, and you can use the low-tuned floor tom in combination with a single pedal to achieve a double bass drum effect. I do it with my drumming, I even learned Black Dog on the drums with sheet music and there wasn't anything in there you can't do with 1 pedal.

Just listened to Moby Dick and I heard the double bass, although it would be possible to pull it off with the low tom and right foot, it's pretty likely that it's double bass.

I only listened to the live stuff from "How the West was Won" back when I huge Zeppelin fan, where I'm pretty sure he didn't use double bass. I still am, but I listen to so many other types of music now I don't really make time for them anymore.
