Why would you even try to compare John Mayer and Dave Mathews.... If you love them like you should, you would know there are few similarities between them... The chords they employ are totally different... Lyrics maybe somewhat similar but not to much... Vocals are different.... John plays one of the meanest blues guitars out there but Dave's acoustic stuff is pretty much untouchable... Does anyone else think that Tim has learned an ability to fast forward his playing with his right hand? I do. Like it really looks like his solo and a lot of other songs are sped up. He's an insanely talented guitarist. Him and Dave compliment each other so well. Dave's rythm and strumming abilities are impeccable yet have so much soul. I don't think i'll ever understand how he is able to turn an acoustic performance into what he does. They both are geniuses.
