One big issue im getting, the site I am being directed to only give me one Rar file to download, on your screen you have three files that open. I want to know why I am not getting three files to download and how to correct that issue. Also i cannot figure out how to use the LibUSB, or the 11679_Sixaxis_PS3_Win32_Driver­_for_PC

Once you have done the steps to copy ps3sixaxis_en.exe into C:\windows\system32 a nice solution to avoid the manual "run -> cmd" is to create a textfile called autorunPS3.txt and add the following:

echo This will load the PS3 sixaxis driver!

echo Your PS3 sixaxis should now work!

then rename the autorunPS3.txt file to autorunPS3.bat and place it in your startup folder.

When plugged in, pressing the PS button no longer works anymore, but during the instance that I do plug the control in, it'll flash red until it just stops. Any idea what's wrong?

@bogusandlame One thing I realize that I should have mentioned (it is in the forum post I made) is that everytime you shutdown the computer, you have to redo the whole CMD thing; you can't just press it and have it work again right away. Give that a try, or try restarting again and using CMD again, sometimes that helps. Good luck.

I did all of that and it started working.

Only problem is that i opened up Half Life 2 to give it a go with that. I tried to configure the controls with it. It was working well enough until i tried to do the movement. When i clicked to edit the key to move forward it immediately changed the key to "RIGHT AXIS POS".

Seems to do this with all the keys i try to change now, any idea why? the controller's analog stick isn't stuck or anything like that.

Okay, so I went to the site you posted and got to this video. And since I don't really want to login to post a comment there, I'll just comment here. So, I installed the driver, and then I noticed the "USB connected/disconnected" noise while I was using my PS3 controller. Then I went back to the site and I noticed that I missed the "NOTE" in big, bold, multi-colored letters. I was excited, I guess. But is there a way to stop this madness? Do I have to reformat my computer?

Is the noise being made because of a Zune, or the controller? I've only gotten lucky like 1 or 2 times by simply uninstalling the driver, but sometimes that doesn't take care of it and the Zune problem still occurs and a reformat is most likely needed. Pretty much the reason i stopped using this driver.

That noise wont stop now. your best chance is to use a restore point but that doesnt always solve it. good luck!

Because not ever emulator/game is the same. If i provide you a link to emulators, it's illegal and I could get in trouble. It's common sense to map buttons on an emulator. Usually its "here's the "a" button, press button on controller/keyboard for input". Is that so hard for you?

Im talking about using the Sixaxis for games like the PC versions of Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Grid, Call of Duty and other games that dont let you map keys.

Youre not even supposed to be using the Sixaxis for PC so its not common sense. Its not as easy as just plugging in the Sixaxis and installing the drivers.

Hey smart guy, theres such thing as a mapping program. You wouldnt be able to help anyone because you dont know that such program exists.

For example, you can set the Triangle button to the letter W on you keyboard.

Why post another "how to connect Sixaxis to PC" video when there are so many of them online. Its useless. Like the written instructions arent easy enough to understand.

OK last comment i promise but reply me back, i got this working and it showed same as you, was apparently a USB lead issue luckily i have two, and the CMD all came up as same n stuf, but can i turn the CMD off when its connected and will it just connect automatically everytime i use the controller now or do i redo this procedure everytime

The number of buses found does not make a difference. When you're in the CP, when you push buttons, do any of the numbers light up or anything?

nope, the lights just keep blinking at me with no response from the buttons or sticks. the light turn off after a while, maybe because its done charging.

Works for DS3 as well. There is a problem that windows wont need the "libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.1­0.1" on the other hand you will. install that first before you plug in the controller to the USB port. Don't use your mouse or kayboard if they use USB connector. Then install the ps3sixaxis_en.exe go to control panel to check if it doesn't work drag the ps3sixaxis_e to C:\Windows\System32 and drop it. (make a shortcut to destop to activate the controller every time) check cmd and activate it...

What I criticize in this vid is the instruct to put the initiator in Sys32 folder, which even Keiichi said wasn't necessary in a different forum reg this. Dblclck the file works fine. I put it in win startup folder, so I don't have to run it each time I start the pc, but on 2/3 of my PCs I can't get it to work, the driver fault, not your instructions.

Also, just to get back on track, if anyone is still having problems after doing everything mentioned in this vid, another thing some people have said that works is to hold down the PS button while running/refreshing the LibUSB-Win32 Test Program, located in the start menu after installing the libusb drivers. It didn't help me but some people have said it made the difference. Hopefully some hacking group will run with this and release new usb drivers for this thing ;-)

ahh dats messed up, I created a restore point just before getting that 0.1.12.1, tried it and it only disabled all my USB ports, same thing happened wen i tried 0.1.10.1 again.. Musta gotten some windows update that doesnt like libusb in the past 3 months....

I haven't really used it since I figured out it was what screwed with the zune til today and now it doesn't work at all. But I can say when it did work originally your vid and tips helped me out A LOT so thanks

Sigh. I had this driver working on my laptop a while ago, but then it spontanously stopped working. I moved the .exe to the win32 folder and executed, but whereas your screen displays data, mine only gives the header for the program. No 'busses' or anything. The version of libusb recommended for this displays an error when I attempt to install, so I tried the newer one to no avail. Also, is the controller supposed to blink as soon as you plug it in, or only after you press the PS button? Thanks.
