Here is what happened: This is Kolk's first night anchoring so he has little knowledge. Anyway, after Style's was done with weather, Kolk was supposed to "toss" to Rekha, but Kolk started to read Rekha's story. He looks to Lee for help, but she ain't providing. Later in the same newscast he was smiling like no tomorrow.
That's right... read anything they put in front of you no matter how much it doesn't make sense.
