Hell, this is the first time I've seen an epiphone guitar that is made before the company was bought by gibson in '57. Actually it's even pre-WW II. I think I'm gonna cry.

not a ralph stanley original... dock boggs recorded the song in the 1930's, and even then it was already known to be an american folk song which dock only covered.

Thanks I didnt know Dock Boggs did it as well. They are so young here. This when the 2 of them lived in my now hometown in Santa Cruz I am curious were this was recorded? anyone know? I love the song were she mentions the "Santa Cruz Garden Mall" in the song she actually wrote "I am not afraid to die"

well, if only to clarify (and being nitpicky about it :)) , dock boggs recorded "pretty polly" on the brunswick label in their new york studios around 1927-28.

Oh wow thank you so much for having this video.. I love this song its one of my all time favorite songs of "Doc Ralph Stanley" I didnt know that David and Gillian sung this song.
