Oh yeah, the old Supercade arcade in Old Flemington, NJ. I was 22 in 1986 when this hit our local arcade, and I'm sure I pumped enough quarters into this to buy someone at Data East a house or two, lol
I never did beat the final level, but came close. The ocean level with the naval fleet was awesome.
Come to think of it, the entire DECADE of the 80's was great! The 90's were a bummer for me as arcades stared closing down and Ronnie Reagan left office. Oh well, it's all memories now...
omg just the best memories.... chuck e cheese garden grove ca. 1984 ditch school with 75 cents to play 3 fucking games spent all day there lol ahhh. 10 yrs old looooool damn.. love yall... salute,
koldfuse, here's one for ya...hardly went to middle school when these games were out. 1984...cosmic cowboy....west palm beach, florida. this one and cliff hanger were great.
@Frankgallagher211 absolutely, but not directly. Thing is that the company who animated Cobra Command and Road Blaster (a.k.a. Road Avenger) is LX-3 which is actually Toei who worked on G.I. Joe
Ah yes. 1985, Orlando International Airport had this game in one of the arcades. I was still tripping off Robotech and I remember that I didn't want to get on the plane with my parents because I was teasing to play this game over and over again. All these years later, I still remember that siren and all the guys mobilizing!
Best fucking opening to a game, EVER!

@godstomper Afraid not. But watching this video and reading your comment just flooded my mind with fond memories of childhood in the eighties.

Nice.
A lot of us have memories like that. Cool arcade games were perhaps the coolest cool things on earth when I was 11, if that makes any sense.
(Not girls - not for another year or two.)
This game would have completely rocked my world. I don't think I ever encountered it. I would have remembered it!

Loved this game. This, Space Ace, Dragon's Lair, Fire Fox, cliffhanger...the laser disk games...
Man.
Back in the day when you told the folks your were gonna go play video games.
It meant you were levaing the house ... and hanging with friends.
