Hello, I H0PE someone helps me! My Dream is to become a Game Designer but not ( Maybe) a Progammer ( Even though you will learn in College). Do I REALLY need to know Alot and Understanding of Math or do I have to understand the Basics and What I Learnd from College to become a GameDesginer, because the course classes I've seen, there are no math classes at all. I've seen different kinds of jobs(Artist,Animator,GameDesig­­ner,Progammer) why is there list? I Thought GameDesigner meant all that? Ty

@lorf151 a game designer is the head of the game. He is the leader. he designs the game. Artists such as concept artists create the characters and the look of the game by drawing and painting. Animators animate the movements of the characters within the game. Programmers have to have a solid foundation in math. Programmers program the game. AI's, game engines, and everything in between. Thats is how Notch created minecraft. he programed it. If you want to be a game design learn programming

Marc Mencher was quite redundant for someone who has mastered the english language.

Anyways, people, keep in mind that this all depends on the market you are trying to hit. Don't bother mastering the english language if you want to make games targeted towards the Japanese or towards South America. If its going towards Canada, US or Europe, well then, be sure to know your english!

It's good that everyone is going to college but you can become a game designer without a degree. Many famous designers don't have degrees same goes with character designers but it's better to have a degree. Reason why is so you can learn it better but like i said if you master it then you can get into the buisness with no problem because you got skill and they hire people from skill not education.
