Thanks for the comment. Obviously we are first timers at this. Someone else pointed out we have no fenders on the stern and we are not wearing life jackets. Guess it will have to do until someone does the job correctly. Narration stinks, too
Hmmm. Dave took a big risk leaping onto the dock without having a stern rope secured first . If he'd missed his footing he could have fallen in. Worse still - the stern could have crushed him against the dock.
The way to do it WITHOUT leaving the cockpit is as follows:-
Attach one end of the rope to a stern cleat
Coil the rope loosely.
Separate the coil into two halves - one in each hand
Throw both coils TOGETHER -so that they land one each side of the dock cleat .
