Thanks for all of the positive comments!!! Wiggles was my heart! My husband was so sweet to post some videos of her. For those that are worried about her drinking the pool water and her weight. The pool was a one time event so she did not drink pool water on a regular basis. Also she weighed 26 lbs. And lived to be 15 years old. She was extremely active until the last couple weeks of her life. Always happy and playing. She was the best. Many many fond memories. Cheers!

Got news for you: your vet is clueless about corgis. A pwc should never weigh more than 27 lbs. - and that's IF they are a BIG corgi. Females are generally 23-24 lbs at peak weight. I've saved dogs from owners who abused their dogs by packing weight on them.

People call my corgi penny fat, but corgis just look fat to people who aren't familiar with them! The vet says penny is just fine and she's 10 years old. Corgis just look fat and you can tell if its really fat by looking usually.

@bachelorette87 Corgi's do not "just look" fat! They are prone to overweight and this is VERY bad for their back due to the structure of their body. A female corgi should never exceed 27 pounds

I'd say that dog is maybe 5 pounds overweight.. To a certain extent, there is some pluff that makes them look bigger than they are, but this dog is missing a waist which should be seen from above, and from the side there is a very small amount of sloping inward from the chest to the tummy. This dog isn't yet obese, but I'd say without proper exercise and diet, she could be on her way there.

I don't know about Australia, but I live in California, U.S.A., and there are many breeders you can get one from. You could also google the breed to see if there are any breeders in your area. Good luck to you.

They can swim, but unfortunatley the pembroke kind is very top-heavy. I took mine over her head (once), and if I hadn't been there to spot her, she would have capsized! I had a cardigan-terrier mix years ago that stayed upright, so maybe the tail helps.
