Thanks for posting this. I am appalled that the government wants to take away my right to PREVENT serious diseases through natural health products and nutraceuticals. I have written my MP in the past on this important issue and will let the senators know my feelings. Unfortunately, allopathy likes to overprescribe poisons and order needless, invasive tests. Shame on "Health Canada". They don't promote health; they promote illness and disease.

UPDATE:

Bill C-51 & C-52 were dropped after the November 2008 Federal election in Canada.

As it stands in 2009, BILL C-6 has replaced BILL C-52 (which encapsulates BILL C-51)

Bill C-6 takes away Canadians basic civic and human freedoms & was passed by all Members of Parliament of Canada!

It is now at the Canadian Senate for its final 3rd reading. Stop it now by contacting Senators on the Social Affairs committee. Say NO to BILL C-6 !

We must also read between the lines whenever an MP tells us that the BILLS are no longer. It is likely that the BILLS will be reintroduced and assigned a new number, under this current minority government. There is an agenda Health Canada must satisfy.

The consciousness is rising very slowly but we must continue to have faith. Our small effort to resist these bills has had a beneficial ripple effect. Certainly, the stress that such proposed legislation has caused for many Canadians and American manufacturers, has been phenomenal. The media attention has not prioritized this most important issue. We must do our part to become the media source.
