  • FDA = TERRORISM

  • Hello: If you are going to use my film, I would appreciate it if you'd at least tell people that it is called WE BECOME SILENT - and direct them to my YouTube page. I have been producing work like this since 1994...and viewers may actually like to see other films I've produced. —Kevin P. Miller

  • What the hell are you people talking about. In 2010 it is perfectly legal to buy and sell L Triptophan in the United States.I have used it for years for sleep and depression.

  • @NoiseGalaxy Also, quality counts when it comes to supplements. I stick with premium, well known brands. They cost more but are more effective. The inexpensive ones are usually synthetics and pass right thought the body. I choose high quality when it comes to things that go in my body.

When I took mine, I took twice/three times the recommended dosage and didn't really feel a difference for three months. Gotta stick with it and complement it with a healthy diet.

  • @NoiseGalaxy I get mine at a variety of them, depending on where I'm when I need it. Try iHerb*com.

  • fda, bilderberg group, freemasons, illuminati, The Elite. It's all a huge conspiracy that will end in enslavement and terrible health for everyone who isn't in the club

  • SSRI's were made to mimic the natural amino acids that should be in the brain e.g. tryptophan). Nobody mentions the rate of suicide amongst Prozac patients. Just look back 40 or 50 yrs ago when tryptophan was more prevalent in natural food. There was far less anxiety related problems inspite of there being two World Wars.

  • SSRI's dont mimic amino acids. They reverse serotonin transporters which results in larger amounts of serotonin staying for longer amounts of time in synapses.

L-tryptophan is a serotonin precursor and taking it results in the synthesis of more serotonin. (until feedback from the synapse downregulates its production again)

please read up before you spread your nonsense.

  • Wow..I don't get why you guys are annoyed about the FDA. I saw nothing wrong with what Micheal R Taylor said. Oh no, the drugs have side-effects, no way. Stop riding this weird train that the FDA are monstrous people. Anti-depressants help saved a lot of my friends lives. If you like natural supplements, that's cool, but don't yell at the FDA just because a drug which has the side effects LISTED, makes you act differently.

  • 106,000 people die a year from prescription drugs, most doctors couldn't tell you what blueberries are good for..almost all of the time when you turn on the news and here about some crazed lone shooter most of the time their taking anti depressants, they cause suicidal and homicidal tendencies, I know cause I've taken them and I started getting crazy and it changers your brain chemistry, their r natural cures that worked better for me but FDA will not endorse it cause it doesn't cause side effec

  • Prescribed drugs are rigorously and scientifically tested.

your 106 000 death per year from prescription drugs means nothing compared to the amount of deaths that are avoided by the same drugs (where are you getting this number by the way?)

crazed lone shooters are exceptions and there is no evidence that the drugs are what caused them to turn into maniacs, And you cant predict what they would have done without those drugs either.

complain about special interest groups but respect doctors.

  • yeah they want us to go PROZAK KKRAZI so they could control us

  • What I'm skeptical about is how the elderly like my grandmother are put on all these medications.I think doctors prescribe the elderly on wayyy too many meds. They keep adding more meds to counteract the side effects of meds they are currently taking. Something isn't right.

  • yeah that's not only the elderly, anyone taking medication will inevitably be in that position

  • It's a money making racket..always has been since the days of Thalidomide, Librium, Valium.etc.

  • great vid

  • The FDA is nothing more than a Mindless Puppet

Of big Pharma. They are Sold Out and need to be

    Reformed from top down.

They are a disgrace Look at what they are doing to alternative treatments

And their War on vitamins and Herbs It is Insane and this

Madness is killing Millions ,FDA is a criminal organization

And many People need to be arrested

  • I've found out that the Pharma co. has dumped 271 million pounds of drugs into the our waterways, why is't tjhere more news and hollering about it. That is recklessly druging our children, wildlife and etc.

  • @Healthyways they do need to be arrested but they won't be. They're backed up by really high level people, organizations and corporations. There is a conspiracy that is much bigger than just the FDA. The FDA is just a part in the Globalization goal

  • @Healthyways The FDA does whats in the best interests of the financial oligarchists in control of our nation. If it wasn't for gullible people letting doctors shove poisons into them , the big Pharmaceutical companies wouldn't make money & stocks would deplete. Read up on Amygdalin Laetrile , it's the cancer curing medication that the FDA has kept out of America for years. Yes the FDA is a criminal organization that's responsible for the deaths of millions

  • And they will continue to do so until Americans wake up , quit believing their doctors and fight back.

  • ohh no..go cold turkey sir..6 months at Rikers is no joke..

  • johnsmdm--cold turkey is code for licking my boner right john ,your such a man ,lick lick

  • spent 3 years on the cuff for selling Tryptophan sirs, and 6 months in the pen.shit man stay away from the stuff it ain't worth it man..

  • L-tryptophan is legal in Canada. I order it through the Internet and buy them from health food stores.

Sorry to hear that happened to you.

  • johnsmdm sorry to hear that you got sent down it's legal here in the uk how can you ban something thats in food it's crazy. I really hope britan doesn't follow suit.

  • What should I expect from it? Do you still take it?

  • @johnsmdm Try melatonin.

  • @johnsmdm What?

  • this is why alot of science is horseshit

  • high intensity cardio exercise and getting enough protein also help to lower depression

  • @ratiocinativeness you got that right.. and also sunshine in the mix.

  • Just another example of self interest, lobbyism, and other large corperation influence on the government. It's saddening to be quite honest. I take St. Johns wort for depression with an adaptogen complex of 5 potent adaptogen herbs, all natural 72 mineral complex, fish oil, and ginkgo biloba all with acupuncture-- that all helps me with my depression just as much as some perscription drugs that I used to take. Plus it keeps me healthier all around.

  • you pretty much take the same list of supplements I do (added a daily multi-vitamin), and they work excellent. When I was on Prozac, I was a nervous wreck and it had no positive effect.

  • Such obvious greed. And....have just tried L-tryptophan and it works. For me, 5HTP, Amoryn, Rhodiola Rosea did not do a whole lot.

  • But 5-HTP is a more potent form of L-tryptophan because unlike L-tryptophan it only has one step to become serotonin. L-tryptophan requires more steps. Maybe for you it's a placebo effect

  • ?????????

    5 HTP placebo effect? Okay.

  • I wasn't saying 5-htp is the placebo, I was saying that the L-tryptophan may have been. This is because if 5-htp (5-hydroxy tryptophane) didn't work for him and L-tryptophan did. It is strange because they work through the same mechanism, only 5-htp is easier to absorb and is only one step away from serotonin. L-tryptophan takes more steps and can become part of another amino acid easily. It's harder to synthesize into serotonin so it makes sense that it would't work if 5-htp doesn't.

  • They make Xenadrine Sleep Plus with L-Tryptophan pills. So is that illegal? If so why isn't it off the selves?

  • another example of how big business and the government work through the media in the name of GREED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • served 30 days for buying large quantities of L-Tryptophan, it ain't nice in the pen sirs..

  • why??? where is it ilegal?

  • La pomme de terre. Is it Soul, or is it sol? Is it sun, I'm not too sure. Is it anum?, is it annum? Is it year? I'm still not sure. Ah, hang on, it's the sun and the year. What plant describes those words? Was it soul?, was it sol? Was it anum?, was it annum? It's solanum, oh solanum. It's the sun and the year. O24U....potatoes if you were wondering

  • unlike sri meds tryptophan when it was avalable here worked just as good and did not make me halicinate

  • For decades, L-tryptophan was used as a natural anti-depressant/sleeping aid in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. In 1989 (1991?), the FDA banned L-tryptophan based one ONE bad batch from a SINGLE manufacturer. Four days after L-tryptophan was banned, Prozac was introduced to the public. Coincidence? Many people didn't think so.

Prozac and L-tryptophan both work on the neurochemical serotonin. Prozac recycles serotonin, whereby L-tryptophan naturally increases serotonin.

  • I doubt there was really a bad batch at all - someone was paid to make it bad.

  • I think the same way. That's why I will never touch a prescription drug.

  • So the FDA has been removing natural, safe, and effective depression remedies and limiting us to their synthetic, dangerous antidepressants that've been proven to be mostly placebo... all while brainwashing the population into believing their bullshit justifications while their only real intention is to fatten their wallets.
