Nature is beautiful everywhere - and Man is doing his most to ruin it The sadness of the musical themes combines very well with the meaning given by Sibelius himself to his piece.

@TheListerbo It goes up to the right tempo when it needs to (4:36). Before that, it's as slow and melancholic ("triste") as it should be, in key with the title ("triste" meaning "sad" in 3 languages, Italian, French and Spanish) as necessary. One should know first what the 'Valse Triste" is all about, Did you expect the piece to be jazzed up to a boogie-woogie??!!! Gheorghyi
