iRacing is a racing training/practice Sim It preps you for races. GT5 and Forza are just for entertainment. Which is a better Sim iRacing. Which is a better game, depends on if you like Forza or GT5 better.

@TheGamer85Play yes you are right, about laser scanned tracks to the milimiter, every single crack can be feeled with the force feedback, that its also very realistic, you dont need a motion simulator to feel that ur car is sliding bcuz they made so good that u actually can feel that, the 1st 1 is a Simulator while the others are arcade games with decent physics, but remember Iracing must be played with a F.FB wheel n the others are made to play with a joystick with Wheel option

@PolariceSwiss I guess that my wheel is getting old (G25) i dont feel (on this track "laguna") much the cracks as you seems to say. FFB is indeed more good tought. Right now i just bought Project C.A.R.S by Slightly mad Studios, i have to admit that physics need a ton of improvement but it is in alpha stage and yet it feels great. My hope is on that game more than this 3 shown. Plus it is made by SMS with the help of the community. For me it means alot. :)

iRacing has the best physics overall. After that with all assists off it has to be GT5! Haven't played Forza 4 yet, but Forza 3's physics didn't feel as tight. Plus graphics seem too "cartoony." But still, I think Forza offers the most in value.

You have to keep in mind that i dont play GT5 online (only private match), I would choose GT5. For multiplayer indeed you are absolutly right about iRacing (race are clean). Tought i play "games" because they are games and for that reason i think that GT5 have more content to offert vs iRacing. Plus you have to pay for everything on iRacing. Yes the physics are better but there is no fun after 2-3 month playing with an mx5 on the same limerock map because you have to pay for other maps and cars.

why do u think ppl compare every little simulator with Iracing??? just give a try and throw the rest after. Iracing... the best simulator out there. its a 10/10 game, and drivers are super clean because its a official sancionated sim, that means that even if u crashed everyone and got till the 1st place you will lose points and u can lose your license to race with stronger cars, annnnd u can win real money, yes 10.000 usd once u get you pro license (if u are good) great great game.

@PolariceSwiss I agree iRacing shouldn't be in this comparison or it should be compared to another "actual" racing sim.  I like Forza4 and GT5(prefer Forza to GT) but this is like comparing Acecombat to a Real Flight Simulator. One is for training the other mainly a means of entertainment.

@Nukem962001 I guess so, I dont own FMS4 but I do own GT5, few others sims and Iracing, you are very right about ur comparison, but if u do love GT5 or Forza, I will suggest you very bad to try Iracing to welcome you to the sim world, its Amazing and if you are good you can Actually earn real money, appart that the drivers are so clean, that you just feel like if you'r actually racing, so great simulator. I just love it so much, and its every day developing more and more, 5 Stars.

@Nukem962001 try at the FFB option 20 Damping 8, at the Logitech profiler go to options - global device settings put it in 126%, then go to Iracing and drive around 23mph around the track and give me your comment after it, wich car are u using??

@Nukem962001 both are means of entertainment no matter how you go about it. Nothing can imitate the true physics of a car ATM. With a set of pedals alone.... it's off.... I want to play Iracing for ONE reason.. competitive racing... Gt5/FM4 mostly everyone focuses on the following... Drag/Drifting...or some lame nascar style racing..

ive played all three and if you have the money iracing is the top but if you dont have alot of cash you can shell out for games gt5 is next in line

I don't own iRacing but I own F4 & GT5 this is the best looking iRacing video I've seen so far it looks very real to me I think its because the perspective and the fact that he kept teasing the track edges and the car kept tipping side to side just as you would expect in real life. In the Forza 4 video it looked like the driver had some issues with the steering for some reason?

@VariantAEC HI there. Thanks for that kind comment. For the steerring issues im not sure to understand correctly what you mean but i would say that the problem is the replay function being buggy. Its like it record the car location at some interval. Between that interval the car does what the replay said to do last. But when it reach the second point it has found that it was incorrect and then reset the car to where its suposed to be. So it looks like its moving from left to right all the time.

I have to admit in this video I thought iRacing was real video at first and I did not notice the hud elements for GT5 or Forza 4 but Forza instantly stuck out as looking strange too me.

I wish they at least let us change wheel color on iracing trading paint helps alot but to make the car your own like forza or gt5 is full custom work, why I jump in that forza crx all the time lol

Very very true I'm still gonna get forza 4, forza where I started using xbox wheel, still faithful to it even though people are douchbags hitting u off the course, but makes u better driver for iracing fully aware of your soroundings, good video and see u on the track

@r0mulyni2 I agree with you, I recently bought iRacing a couple of days ago and i can also say that there is no delay on iRacing. I also now own all 3 and for the force feedback iRacing is better. That being said iRacing isnt comparable in term of gameplay to the other 2. There is much more content on GT5 and Forza 3. One thing that is nice to note is the online mode on iRacing. The people that race is more kind. On GT5 or Forza most of the time you have some n00b rammer that kill the experiance

Grand Turismo 5... Look at the cracks in the track, the handling... Even the Clouds look better. Just my opinion. I think,as long as you have a controller in your hands/keyboard/mouse THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. People have to many wars. LONG LIVE GAMING¡¡¡ シヅツッ

@ChrisHCollier Like you i dont like wars. The point of the video was only to compare the track. iRacing is suposed to be more precised because it was laser scanned, GT5 and Forza 3 on the other hand is only scanned from GPS, bumps and neveling was abit scripted (hand crafted). They certainly look similar but It turns out that even if iRacing is more precise and the 2 other that they are mostly identical. Thanks for your comment! and LONG LIVE to RACING WHEEL! :P
