This was not recorded by Led Zepplin...This is a vocal isolation of Plant's track set to someone not nearly as good as Page playing acoustic and adding some fill tracks. Listen to the quick fade at the end...not very professional at all. While I too would love to hear some previously unreleased ZEP...this is not it friends.

I have the Paris 1969 CD. It says it is an acoustic version from an old acetate. To the people that think it's fake, the production is too good to be some guy dicking around. The other thing is that this sounds much like Pages acoutic style with the pull offs. It seems to be the vocal track from the studio version of BD remixed with some acoustic tracks. There are some other things going on in there that make me think this is a legit remix of BD. But we need word from the horses mouth.

Sorry - don't think this is fake. I had this on a bootleg 25 years ago, before the internet was a gleam in a corporate eye, before the idea of fakes were invented. I think it's the origination of the vocal which they then used on the track once they had the riff. But that's just my opinion...

The vocals are taken directly from the studio version of Black Dog, so yes it is a fake. You can see for yourself using YoutubeDoubler. Set the studio version to start at 4 seconds in and this one at 12. The tracks match up perfectly.

The guitar is really pagey-ish, it could even be his, but it's never been played with those vocals, you can see that are two different tracks put together.
