Sauerbraten really changed a lot since the last time you reviewed this. I think you run slightly slower, there is rag doll physics, the old cool weapon models has changed to dumb nooby weapon models, more variety of character models, more maps, etc. Overall, I currently like the new update. Although, I really miss the old Sauerbraten weapon models. They look much cooler. Better than those lame simple weapon models in current update of January 2011.

cube 2 aint that fast on instagib servers i can get over 100 kills i was playing on a dust 2 instagib team server i was the only person on my team (there were like 4 teams) and i was averaging 100 kills per game but i do admit when i started about a year ago where 20 kills was good for me

LOL, Alien Arena pwns this game when it comes to gameplay. This game is SOOOO shallow, you die every few seconds. Graphics are amazing and it runs perfectly, but it needs deeper gameplay.

I actually got into twitch based games with Sauerbraten! And you are right; this is a great game. You forgot to talk about the in-game map editing and the online editing communities, probably because you have not used that part of the game.

I played it and hate it. I Ran through the whole level without bothering to stop and kill, exept when they get in they way, I can just jump over them. The multiplayer is crazy! People are moving 1000 miles per hour, that is so hard to shoot them, exept when they are standing or running towards you. Its crazy! In my opinion, Cube 2 sucks. But Assault Cube is so much better! You can make your own mods by using photoshop! Its that easy in AC.

its not that hard to remember the ammo types if all you play is coop edit and then spawn all your own ammo

Hey F2PMaster, maybe you should check out the latest version of Sauerbraten, the Trooper Edition. Gameplaywise it dosn't offer anything too different, but there are new Playermodels, new models for all the guns, THE BEST RAGDOLLS IVE SEEN (if you turn the ragdoll settings up), and 18 new maps. I think you should also maybe take a shot at the editing tool, which Sauerbraten is most popular for, built into the game and very simple to use.

Actually there is collision physics in sauerbraten, just no roll, and pitch movements to objects. They just move up and down on a z axis and side to side on a x and y axis
