Healthy? Hairs are made of dead cells, only dead are the ones who are not attached to the head anymore, usually these are removed gradually with a comb... but yeah, I think I understand what you mean, there is a point where they doesn't grow much anymore.

Other than the part about the organization "only" providing 152 wigs in one year, I don't see anything about what you said that makes them an ill-reputed organization. And even that part is questionable, because we're not sure how much each wig costs to manufacture - I'm betting it's a lot. Besides, if you're going to cut your hair anyway, donating it to them is better than throwing it away! At least you have some kind of chance to help someone.

I hate it when people are pushed and bullied into doing something they don't want to do. This is not a small deal - the lady's hair is "older" than the daughter! She has been with it forever and obviously very attached to it. The daughter might be too infantile to recognize this, but the producers of the show should know what they are doing, and they should not take in seconds what a lady like her is so attached to and has grown in many, many years.

I used to have long hair down to my waist and now I have a shaved head (yes, I am a girl.) Long hair is great on some people, but it wasn't for me. After I cut it off I was much happier and I felt more like myself. I've gotten some pressure to grow it out again but that isn't what I want right now.

I would like to have seen her cut her hair so it feel past her waist or just part her butt. Most of that hair looks thick and beautiful - just thins out towards the bottom as most long hair will unless it has some good trimming. Just imagine how thick her hair would have been! would be lovely to see healthy hair of that thickness grow to kneelength or something.

i agree. Its fine when ur growing ur hair out. Her hair is a great lengh but the key is keeping it healthy and thats proper shampoo and trimming it every 4-8 weeks. Otherwise it becomed dead and unmanageable
