    Second of all, they have a right to use the equipment even if it's something stupid like curling in a rack. Your camera doesn't need to be in there. Perhaps you should have asked one of those gentleman to kindly hold the camera while their buddy does his first set?

If you can do 95lbs x 20 decent speed without interruption so be it, thats your 20 rep max. Example you see kids doing bench, they got 135 on,"slap 2 plates on bro", they do 10 reps rest 2-3 seconds at the top of each rep, thats cheating , its called a "rest pause".Reality they get maybe 3 smooth reps without stalling.Its not a "working set",

  • ok its stupid that they would ask him if he's finished yet while he's obviously squatting. and two this is a power rack... you can bench press, shoulder press, pull ups, and yes even do curls in them if you want. that's what this rack was made for. get over yourselves and wait your turn.

  • @luminatas While it's true, you CAN do curls in the rack, why the hell would you? The power rack is for making more dangerous exercises safer without a partner. Curls are more than safe without a rack. These guys were only using the rack because it's more convenient with the rack than lifting weight from the ground. And he was not done, he was resting, so he shouldn't have to "wait his turn". His turn wasn't even over. These guys were just being incredibly inconsiderate.

  • I have actually seen an ahole drag an incline bench into a squat/power rack to do SEATED DUMBELL CURLS in the rack, picking the weights up off the floor, curling, then putting them down on the floor again. Guess he thought it was some kinda pyramid power focus point, the rack giving him strenght. LOL. I thought it was just me that hated this. I see young guys using the racks for curls all the time. WHY DO THESE SISSY'S CURL WEIGHTS THEY CAN'T PICK UP? Interfere with squats. ZERO SPORTSMANSHIP.

My most recent one was some dude was verbally one upping me, something about having pulled 900 when he was younger.......................­.......yeah, my head esploded, and splattered all over him. ;( I was asked to never come back. ;p I train mostly in my back yard now, I hate these "fitness centers", and most places with the word "gym" in it, pffft, yeah right.

  • i hate that shit. last week i had to wait for the squat rack because some guy had taken the bar and sat on a lat pulldown seat to do wrist curls with only the bar, no weight added and there is a shortage of barbells at my gym. there were 20kg pre loaded bars 2 meters away from him. stupid shit pisses me off.

Leave the power rack for some one that wants to do rack pulls, bench and squats. There is no reason you should be using a big barbell to do curls. And most dudes when using a 45lb barbell their form is horrendous...

  • @superpolishpower I belong to a fairly big gym, its two stories. But we dont have olympic size barbells lying around. If you want to do barbell curls u have to steal a bar from a bench of use the power rack. I assure u if i want to do standing curls i will use the olympic size bar in the power rack. because i am not going to deadlift the weight each set to curl it. However, i am not an asshole and i will wait until the squatters are finished. BUT the biggest and strongest do WTF they want!!!
