I FREAKIN LOVE VERDINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and duh its a live band there's a lead and 2 basses..Verdine and another guy...if u was a real EWF fan YOU'D KNOW THAT!
I Personally think that back in the 70's the stuff he did was fabulous, there's even a clip of him on youtube soloing back I think in 73 or 74 @ the California Jam,and its a very kool solo. He takes his time with developing it, and still puts on nice show with it, but His recent video solos just make me wonder if he may of gotten wrapped up in all the trapping of success hence forth a decline in his soloing abilities???
Did verdine play bass on studio versions of EWF? This here is not realy good. But bass in studio versions is perfect and groovy. And who plays REALY bass in live gigs of EWF?
It's not about the number of notes you hit... It's about how happy you keep the audience and the way you share your joy with them.. And that's exactly what this guy does every time on stage, he ROCKS!
guys dont just troll this vid by saying he's shit? if you just have to say he suckss at least state some opinion, my opinion on veridine is on the next page, i just think that in a lot of other EWF videos(live) he takes his hands off the bass and bass notes are still playing... if you dont think so just have a look at some of his videos. i dont mean to troll, but i do mean to show truth here. IMO i think he has a studio bassist and kept because hes a sick frontman...
i tought my self how to play bass and i would only listen to verdine white and i like how he plays listening to him is how ive become the bassist i am today, playing in 3 bands and other bands asking me to join them. alot of you need to get over the flashy stuff even Victor Wooten himself lists verdine as a mentor/idol how ever you want to say it, it does not matter how much double thumps you can do in one measure if you cant make your audience groove with one note. Verdine is my favorite!!!!
@roach4946 Nah he ain't a crap Bass Player at all. I believe he wants his Solos to be all about Showmanship, and still staying within the Pocket of the Groove, as it were. A lot of Bass Player who are technically great, TOTALLY kill the Atmosphere when they take a Solo. Benny Reitveld, Bassist for Santana, is a good example. Great Bassist, but Technical Bass Solos can be sooooo boring. And I'm Bassist for 22 Years now, mind. I Solo sometimes but prefer to it within the context of a Song.

To all of you who wish to criticize Verdine Whites's bass playing; He is not playing seriously in this video and it's not a solo, it's more of a theatrical segway between songs! If you weren't so quick to be negative, you might learn something if you're interested in what it takes to become the best! Verdine White is over sixty years old and has been playing bass all is life! I've heard him play things that boggle the mind! Do some research and really listen before you speak!
Eddiej7ohn: To the young man who said that Verdine wasn't a good Bass player I beg to differ with you. You need to pick up their music I am talking about The Earth,Wind&Fire that was out before you were born then you'll understand. EWF did some brilliant work back in the day which was my day When groups were Musicians and played a unique sound. Not the so much as the beat but music.
Guys you have to realize these negative comments about Verdine skills, these fools are not even musicians! can't play a Fuckin Flute! ,Raised on Hip Hop ! can't read a piece of sheet music if their life depended on it, ask them to spell Bass ! A Bass player off stage playing,PLEASE! them those same A holes that got a studio in every basement in America! and think they Music masters! what a bunch of musically Illiterate clowns! Go make up some Fuckin Beats on your one finger keyboards! LOL!
for all that say! Verdine is not playing Bass on EWF live performances! you probably were not even born when they were on the charts, and if you can't play a Bass shut the fuck up!~I must admit I'm not impressed with this solo performance but as someone else commented here, he's not a Bass soloist ! He's a musician ! I saw them LIVE! in Baltimore Md, we they recorded their live album Gratitude, you need to hear it sometime! and you might learn something about melody!~and Bass playing!
verdine not a technically accomplished bassist? his talent is his showmanship? i agree he is showy and goofy in concert but really LISTEN to basslines like "saturday night", "loves holiday", "in the stone", " dont ask my neighbor", "shining star", etc. his playing on these songs are killer. also: along with the drummer, the bassists main duty is to hold down the groove-even a tech wiz like victor wooten knows this. so yes he is a "pocket player"-like most bassists. and he is a damn good one.
@playthabass10 I'd agree that this isn't one of Verdine's best performances but I suggest before you diss the player that he is, you go back and listen to the bottom of every EW&F song from 40 years ago to today. The man can hold it down better than anyone AND put on a crowd pleasing show. A band doesn't get to the R&R Hall or the Vocal Group Hall of fame by being lame. Put that all in perspective then ask yourself the question: "Am *I* in the Hall of Fame??" Answer honestly.
@micvelo hmm this is interesting. i mean i know this guy is a wicked bass player from songs like happy feelin', but this solo was still unusually weak.
@adamkalle Like I said in my first line, "I'd agree that this isn't one of Verdine's best..." (WTH, reminds me of ME back in the garage band days ;=)! I just don't like hate comments where the greatness of the man is to be undermined cuz of one off-day lame performance. We all have 'em. I've seen other negative comments re Verdine's playing like "not that great", etc. Verdine is a product of the time when bassists held together the rhythm section and didn't play lead. He rules that roost! Peace.
please dont knock verdine ,its bad enough maurice canot be there anymore this white family has given all lets not forget this and still enjoy what e w f still give us.
They came to hear music, not to watch a process-haired 60 year-old prance around in a bullfighter outfit. EWF were the greatest band ever, now they are a tribute act.
I still think he is a hell of a bass player is he a Louis Johnson no put Verdine put it down now weather he still plays when they are live who knows hell he has been playing well over 30yrs he might need that back up but they still give you the best show you will ever see.
an improvised solo represents what you feel at that moment and probably his mindset wasn't right. Slash is hell of a guitar player, I've heard a few awful solos from him:) Musicians are human. The better they are at music the harder their lives.
I agree this is very weak and bordering on embarrassing. Listen to Verdine's live playing in the 70's and it's like night and day. Listen to the live Midnight Special shows or the live California Jam shows here on youtube. The playing there is amazing. Has Verdine decided to now rely more on flash than substance?
I feel verdine could be like most these other bass players because he says in one of his videos he started out on classical bass so i think it is his wanting to play the way he does i feel it
b4 i post my comment let me say this "Stevie Wonder is the greatest singer/songwriter,producer,arranger,multi-instrumentalist in music ever". Earth,Wind & Fire in their hey day was the baddest band on Earth!! EWF would have smashed the Rolling Stones & Beatles. Where do u think Michael Jackson got his inspiration from? Louis Satterfield taught Verdine bass, trust me he knows how to play a damn bass!
Yep! I try to tell all of these youngsters that Michael Jackson used to go to EWF's concerts back in the 70's to learn the theatrical side. EWF and Parliment/Funkadelic set the tone for those types of performances.
Have been a lifelong EWF & Verdine fan, & a pretty damn good bass player if i say so myself! Saw 'em live at B'ham NEC way way back.... Have to say this isn't a great solo but most of Verdines recording work ROCKS & GROOVES like no other... Just listen to Saturday Night, or September or Got to get you into my Life, the list goes on. Lazz
No No boys & girls don't buy into this video, The fact is Verdine is a MONSTER musician and when a song starts and he's holding a bass he eats everyone for lunch lol. Forget this nonsense I saw him 6 times and he goes back to the late 60's. Get the album "I AM" by Earth Wind & Fire and listen. He grooves like no one else. And I saw and met Jaco as well.
idk why everyone is thinking he is doing a solo. above all, verdine was always the hypeman in EWF. this is just him doin his thing for the crowd. you have to search more for him actually doing something on the base, but this is him doing something on stage. so seriously...dont sound so arrogant and critical of a man who is a part of one of the most innovative bands of music
this is mr.verdine white playing with his brothers on one of the baddest bands in the music ,made it to the music hall of fame one of the hottest bands in the 80s( and you are ?). lol
he plays the song like he shouldand like it should sound, so he should never come out front and try to solo, it sounds sorry and too many mistakes, but, non musicians cant hear that, they just want to hear the song, and he should continue to take his medicine before coming on stage.
also: along w/ jamerson he was one few melodic bass players in R&B/Funk/Soul who managed to hold down the bottom, yet stand out. blending in AND standing out. damn.
verdine not a technically accomplished bassist? his talent is his showmanship? i agree he is showy and goofy in concert but really LISTEN to basslines like "saturday night", "loves holiday", "in the stone", " dont ask my neighbor", "shining star", etc. his playing on these songs are killer. also: along with the drummer, the bassists main duty is to hold down the groove-even a tech wiz like victor wooten knows this. so yes he is a "pocket player"-like most bassists. and he is a damn good one.
to be fair, his stuff's great, but it doesn't seem that 'technically proficient', I don't think that means it isn't proficient, but he's not using the sort of jaw dropping chops some bassists have. I don't think this demeans him at all though, his music's fantastic.
@01tnql totally agreed! (although I do think this particular 'solo' is all flash and no substance and if it were anyone other than VW we'd all be like "WTF?")
All that said - I love how guys who sit around their bedrooms dreaming about being in bands even a fraction as influential are such good critics.
I'm totally with you. Verdine is one of the most influential bassists of a generation.
@01tnql well stated...Verdine is an accomplished bassist with an established band EWF, but his solo skills don't really stand out like some others! There is nothing wrong with that, he plays the basslines to some of the best songs ever recorded and as you stated, he can hold down the groove!!!
jamerson is a great example of a melodic groove player! For me personally, I would rather listen to someone who can lay down and hold a serious groove than someone who solos a lot! I love bass solos, but I LOVE when a bassist can hit that pocket, lock in with a great drummer and carry the groove! Again, Jamerson is clearly one of the best ever! Peace
@01tnql He was not playing on those songs and in concert there is another bassist offstage who plays the main basslines. They only turn up Verdine's bass for the awful solos. He sure as hell can dance though.
@slap70s ok, then who WAS playing on those songs? basically you are saying he was/is not the bassist for EWF. and like i stated in another post, this solo DOES suck, but verdine IS a solid and melodic player--unless you know something we dont.
@01tnql In the old days, the records were recorded with session bassists. Today, they hide the bassist in the back while Verdine dances. Check out other Verdine solo videos on Youtube to see a video where they bring out the "ringer" during one of the solos. Also check out his NAMM videos. He has no skills.
@01tnql Don't get me wrong, there never was a better bassline than the stuff on Shining Star, but when you see Verdine play live or at NAMM like I have for almost 30 years, it is hard to believe he had the chops to pull off that stuff. When you see a killer bassist revealed from behind the scenes at a live show, you know he is not playing. Just watch as he turns his volume up or down. It goes up for solos, and off for the rest of the tune. Youtube will not allow me to add the link.
@slap70s i only saw him live once so you have better insight on this aspect of his playing. but on the recordings......whew!!!!(esp. "saturday night")
@slap70s There probably is NOT a backstage bassist at EWF shows. Sadly, Earth Wind and Fire shows are 90% pre-recorded anymore. Verdine is turning up for solos because for most of the show, he and most of the band are pantomiming. The rhythm tracks and backing vocals are all in the can. If you have any doubt, check out their performance on "A&E Live by Request" and it's fairly obvious. The second bassist on "Getaway" is the musical director/keyboardist.
A few years ago, they did have a second guy, but now it is all Milli Vanilli? I played in a band with Al McKay a few years back, and I asked him about Verdine. He said Verdine plays, but would not go into detail. He probably is sworn to secrecy.
@slap70s That's the way of the world these days, and days past...I went back and checked out some old footage reaching back to the days when Maurice was still active with the band. Turns out that they have been faking it for at least twenty years. I don't mean to be a dick or anything, because EWF is one of my favorite bands, but I do get pissed off that folks aren't hearing a true live performance when they have paid BIG BUCKS for a ticket...
@tdelamont No doubt the band is always a great show, and they have produced some of the finest music ever, but like I said in my first posts, it is the session players who made those EWF albums that changed the face of music. Once it was recorded, they just had to reproduce, in a live situation, the magic the unknown studio musicians had already done. At least they are not using those pitch correctors like all of the current crop of teen idols have to in order to sing in tune.
@01tnql i HIGHLY doubt he wrote them himself, ive had a listen to a lot of ew&f's songs and the bass lines there are WAY beyond this guys potential. listen to this solo, its miserable, on a bass NECK there are MORE notes that you can get right then you can wrong(this is based on modes of any key) this goof ball somehow manages to hit all of the WRONG notes, just listen to 1:27. the only real good thing about veridine white is his ability to jump around the stage, hes probably whipped on somethin
@01tnql I dont wanna sound like some troll, but me and my bass teacher at the time were looking over the september bass line, and it is a groovy bassline, i enjoy playing it, but this video is rancid, i dont want to say he is a bad bassist, but for lack of a better word, he just doesnt get lucky. like a said a scale to a bass has like 9 notes, and past those 9 notes are all of your modes, those notes in modes cover the bass, and somehow he manages to hit 2 or 3 this entire solo,
@01tnql THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep trying to tell these dumb ass folks !!! VERDINE IS A BASS MASTER ! student of the late Louis Satterfield !!! these dudes don't know their history !!!!
Verdine is a class act and he has belief in what he does which many musicians and people for the most part dont...i saw them in aruba a few nights ago and he rocked my socks off...Ive seen some of the best including richard bona and jimmy haslip and guess what he moved and elevated my spirit more than any other bassist i have seen.....keep on doing what you do Verdine
Verdine is doing his thing... I love how he is so energetic. I don't care that he isn't a virtuoso, just love his energy and smile , I saw them live yesterday. Really awesome performance. I usually don't like to dance but that shit was so fucking funky it had me dancing :P
I love Earh Wind and Fire but, hes not that great w/o the band. Its like I don't want to listen to Victor Wooten w/a band. This might be filler while the band waits and rest. It is what its suppose to be, not technical but, showy. Kinda gay though, still love the band though, miss'ya Maurice!
Verdine put on a damn good show but that bass solo was very very very weak. Anyone who states that solo was good need to unplug their ears and listen to R&B 101 on how a bass solo should be executed. LoL
Mr. White is a Bassisit who has always played by his skill and passion, no drugs ever needed, i wish many of us could truly say that esp. back in our younger years when coke n weed was the so called pick me up.
whoever says verdine sucks, sucks d***, how can u say that, he is one of the best, must have been a white guy, yall always got sum to say bout a brotha, tryna keep us down...
You all have to appreciate a legendary bass player. To all of the wanna be bass players talkin shit, just remember that funk is all about feelin the funk, and obviously he was feelin the funk on that solo (it may not be what you are used to) but he felt that shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If you were around in the 70's you would know that he could play a solo to death. To Mr. Verdine White, if you see this comment, you are the Real Deal!!!. Your true fans will always love you. (EFW)
not an incredible solo, i agree. but everyone has their own style. his thing is laying down a solid groove with the rest of the rhythm section. but i have to say he loves playing music and is a great bass player, in my opinion. more power to him. he's been part of a great band for 35+ years.
DAMN...DAMN...DAMN! Dude you have to learn 1 good solo seriously. But showmanship is through the roof. You inspired me to grow all of this hair. Ok Verdine our lesson for this week is scales.
Man Verdine is tight !!! A solo is not what defines a great bassman. Verdine White is the epitomy of a grooving pocket player, bringing it all together. EWF has the hits to prove it!!! stop looking for solos and get in the groove maaaaan ! check out verdine with the Emotions on the song "flowers"
Verdine White always knows how to put on a show, but when it comes to playing solos, I just wonder? I think Bootsy Collins got him by a couple of miles but Verdine is still at the top
I love EWF and have studyed and played verdine,s style as one of my many favorites, but dam verdine! this has been one of the worst solo,s ive ever heard you do bro! to much show and no play,i still got love for you tho,ive learned a lot from your studio and live playing
I still love this guy though. I've learned so much from his playing and he IS a top contributor to a lot of bassplayers and a must listen to in your formative years as a bassist. He does have musical skills for sure. EWF would have not been the same without him. Thanks Verdine for giving yourself to us. Mush love to ya' man!!!!
verdine is def an icon and a staple in so many of our lives, but damn Verd.......all these years and your solos still suck like hell. Very beginner sounding. Still luv ya
I have been a rock concert freak since before Woodstock - I have seen just about every group worth seeing - and normally, I'm a rocker; but, when I want to see the BEST on stage - I go for EWF. Verdine may not be the absolute best bass player in the world; but, one of the best showmen. His energy and smile could light the city of New York during a black-out. In this lifetime - see Earth, Wind and Fire - whenever, however possible.
Bismillah! Anyone with anything negative to say about the musical gods commonly known as the Earth Wind and Fire concept are basically people that are not supporters and have been denied the privilege of sharing in the energy given to them by God Almighty. Well, that's good because within this realm should only be those with 'light'! Salaam!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Sorry guys but this man will be better like a circus artist.I used to play the bass more than 20 years ago and this men make me cry.He really made me cry believe me.
im going to say this one more time its obvious that from the comments on here you all dont have a clue on how to play a bass and dont know what to listen for for all the years hes been playing his skills should be off the charts he obviously dont know a miner from a major so dont come on her saying that hes the man and he still grooves if your not going to tell the truth save the commens for the real musicians verdene is a little bit above a beginner
maybe this video can be good for a work out video. Question is what will it be called? Oh, I know. How about. THE RANGATANG STRUT!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

Verdine's use of space, is what makes his soloing so complete!
He allows the space to make the intricaices of hiss playing seem simplistic, while at the same time, forcing his point of view into the room!
He could play more notes, but you would lose his virtuosity in the confusion!

A Bass player off stage playing,PLEASE! them those same A holes that got a studio in every basement in America! and think they Music masters! what a bunch of musically Illiterate clowns! Go make up some Fuckin Beats on your one finger keyboards! LOL!
tedkay 1 year ago
for all that say!

Put that all in perspective then ask yourself the question: "Am *I* in the Hall of Fame??" Answer honestly.
micvelo 1 year ago
@micvelo hmm this is interesting. i mean i know this guy is a wicked bass player from songs like happy feelin', but this solo was still unusually weak.
adamkalle 1 year ago
@adamkalle Like I said in my first line, "I'd agree that this isn't one of Verdine's best..." (WTH, reminds me of ME back in the garage band days ;=)! I just don't like hate comments where the greatness of the man is to be undermined cuz of one off-day lame performance. We all have 'em. I've seen other negative comments re Verdine's playing like "not that great", etc. Verdine is a product of the time when bassists held together the rhythm section and didn't play lead. He rules that roost! Peace.

All of the members are accomplished and legendary.

an improvised solo represents what you feel at that moment and probably his mindset wasn't right.

Has Verdine decided to now rely more on flash than substance?
ocean4315 1 year ago
I feel verdine could be like most these other bass players because he says in one of his videos he started out on classical bass so i think it is his wanting to play the way he does i feel it

b4 i post my comment let me say this "Stevie Wonder is the greatest singer/songwriter,producer,arranger,multi-instrumentalist in music ever". Earth,Wind & Fire in their hey day was the baddest band on Earth!! EWF would have smashed the Rolling Stones & Beatles. Where do u think Michael Jackson got his inspiration from? Louis Satterfield taught Verdine bass, trust me he knows how to play a damn bass!
mrinnervisionz 1 year ago

And I saw and met Jaco as well.

idk why everyone is thinking he is doing a solo. above all, verdine was always the hypeman in EWF. this is just him doin his thing for the crowd. you have to search more for him actually doing something on the base, but this is him doing something on stage. so seriously...dont sound so arrogant and critical of a man who is a part of one of the most innovative bands of music

he plays the song like he shouldand like it should sound, so he should never come out front and try to solo, it sounds sorry and too many mistakes, but, non musicians cant hear that, they just want to hear the song, and he should continue to take his medicine before coming on stage.

When you hear some live songs like In the Stone, you can't believe it's Verdine playing, there must be a real bass player backstage.

to be fair, his stuff's great, but it doesn't seem that 'technically proficient', I don't think that means it isn't proficient, but he's not using the sort of jaw dropping chops some bassists have. I don't think this demeans him at all though, his music's fantastic.
samkeen 2 years ago
right, because a lot of bassists rely on flashy chops for everything.
01tnql 2 years ago 2
definitely, and I'd much rather good musicianship and a great groove than flashy chops (though if they have both then all the better!)
samkeen 2 years ago
@01tnql totally agreed! (although I do think this particular 'solo' is all flash and no substance and if it were anyone other than VW we'd all be like "WTF?")
All that said - I love how guys who sit around their bedrooms dreaming about being in bands even a fraction as influential are such good critics.
I'm totally with you. Verdine is one of the most influential bassists of a generation.
Blyss 1 year ago
@Blyss dito that.
ragnargrimnar 1 year ago
@01tnql well stated...Verdine is an accomplished bassist with an established band EWF, but his solo skills don't really stand out like some others! There is nothing wrong with that, he plays the basslines to some of the best songs ever recorded and as you stated, he can hold down the groove!!!
FunkInDaPocket47 1 year ago
@FunkInDaPocket47 yes a melodic groover like jamerson your name says it all: funk in the pocket thats what its all about!
01tnql 1 year ago
@01tnql
jamerson is a great example of a melodic groove player! For me personally, I would rather listen to someone who can lay down and hold a serious groove than someone who solos a lot! I love bass solos, but I LOVE when a bassist can hit that pocket, lock in with a great drummer and carry the groove! Again, Jamerson is clearly one of the best ever! Peace
FunkInDaPocket47 1 year ago
@01tnql He was not playing on those songs and in concert there is another bassist offstage who plays the main basslines. They only turn up Verdine's bass for the awful solos. He sure as hell can dance though.
slap70s 1 year ago
@slap70s ok, then who WAS playing on those songs? basically you are saying he was/is not the bassist for EWF. and like i stated in another post, this solo DOES suck, but verdine IS a solid and melodic player--unless you know something we dont.
01tnql 1 year ago
@01tnql In the old days, the records were recorded with session bassists. Today, they hide the bassist in the back while Verdine dances. Check out other Verdine solo videos on Youtube to see a video where they bring out the "ringer" during one of the solos. Also check out his NAMM videos. He has no skills.
slap70s 1 year ago
@01tnql Don't get me wrong, there never was a better bassline than the stuff on Shining Star, but when you see Verdine play live or at NAMM like I have for almost 30 years, it is hard to believe he had the chops to pull off that stuff. When you see a killer bassist revealed from behind the scenes at a live show, you know he is not playing. Just watch as he turns his volume up or down. It goes up for solos, and off for the rest of the tune. Youtube will not allow me to add the link.
slap70s 1 year ago
@slap70s i only saw him live once so you have better insight on this aspect of his playing. but on the recordings......whew!!!!(esp. "saturday night")
01tnql 1 year ago
@slap70s There probably is NOT a backstage bassist at EWF shows. Sadly, Earth Wind and Fire shows are 90% pre-recorded anymore. Verdine is turning up for solos because for most of the show, he and most of the band are pantomiming. The rhythm tracks and backing vocals are all in the can. If you have any doubt, check out their performance on "A&E Live by Request" and it's fairly obvious. The second bassist on "Getaway" is the musical director/keyboardist.
tdelamont 1 year ago
@tdelamont Man, it is worse than I thought!
A few years ago, they did have a second guy, but now it is all Milli Vanilli? I played in a band with Al McKay a few years back, and I asked him about Verdine. He said Verdine plays, but would not go into detail. He probably is sworn to secrecy.
slap70s 1 year ago
@slap70s That's the way of the world these days, and days past...I went back and checked out some old footage reaching back to the days when Maurice was still active with the band. Turns out that they have been faking it for at least twenty years. I don't mean to be a dick or anything, because EWF is one of my favorite bands, but I do get pissed off that folks aren't hearing a true live performance when they have paid BIG BUCKS for a ticket...
tdelamont 1 year ago
@tdelamont No doubt the band is always a great show, and they have produced some of the finest music ever, but like I said in my first posts, it is the session players who made those EWF albums that changed the face of music. Once it was recorded, they just had to reproduce, in a live situation, the magic the unknown studio musicians had already done. At least they are not using those pitch correctors like all of the current crop of teen idols have to in order to sing in tune.
slap70s 1 year ago
@01tnql i HIGHLY doubt he wrote them himself, ive had a listen to a lot of ew&f's songs and the bass lines there are WAY beyond this guys potential. listen to this solo, its miserable, on a bass NECK there are MORE notes that you can get right then you can wrong(this is based on modes of any key) this goof ball somehow manages to hit all of the WRONG notes, just listen to 1:27. the only real good thing about veridine white is his ability to jump around the stage, hes probably whipped on somethin

@01tnql I dont wanna sound like some troll, but me and my bass teacher at the time were looking over the september bass line, and it is a groovy bassline, i enjoy playing it, but this video is rancid, i dont want to say he is a bad bassist, but for lack of a better word, he just doesnt get lucky. like a said a scale to a bass has like 9 notes, and past those 9 notes are all of your modes, those notes in modes cover the bass, and somehow he manages to hit 2 or 3 this entire solo,
whitegohst33 7 months ago
@01tnql and if your wondering who wrote all the basslines he is probably relying on a studio bassist

In this lifetime - see Earth, Wind and Fire - whenever, however possible.
Thanks for the great video.
