This plane is made of Carbon and Titanium, so even if it crashes it will have more survivility that current planes, also still has many tests to go, like flying with one engine, applying brakes at take-off speed, etc. and then fine tune it for mass production, it will take aprox 1 year of tests to start tunning it up before going production.
I fly a lot, and I drive a lot on busy commutes. I hear on the radio of frequent injuries, and maybe one or two deaths, during numerous motor accidents during the workweek, every week, for the entire year. And that's just on a few busy stretches of highway in one metropolitan area!
We'll hear of a fatal commercial aircraft incident in this country in, what, once every couple of years or so?
I feel far safer flying than I ever do on most motorways.
@Treetop64 - If only road transportation could improve at the same rate as everything else. A hundred years ago, flying was thought to be fictional and impossible. Now, they're the safest and fastest mode of traveling. Vehicles using roads have been around since ancient Rome, and they're still dangerous!
notice they only show u first class. not were the normal ressecion savey people sit in the economy seats. u can kinda see them in the background they're brown.
yeah i guess but different companies will change the colour, and it seems to be really open as well which is good it gives a sense of economy being with the first class and not dividing us (if that made sense at all)
Lets face the truth guys. The market the plane to be so nice and comfortable. The second these roll out and the airlines get ahold of them they are going to install the smallest seats possible and stuff everyone in like animals.
yeah this is true, and i was watching the news about this and they were comparing it to the a380 i mean i really would prefer the 787 i wouldnt like to be in a plane with 500+ people
The Boeing 787 only offers -8, -9, and -3. Boeing 787 doesn't have the name "Intercontinental". I suppose you mean Boeing 747-8i. Boeing 747-8i will use General Electric GENX only, and it's the most advanced engine technology in the world.....
Boeing 787 has three model 787-3 Wingspan 170ft length 186ft 787-8 Wingspan 197ft Length 186ft 787-9 Wingspan 208ft Length 206ft and all three standing 55ft 6in tall
yes i think they look amazing and their 'rugged' bits at the end of them to stop the noise a little look good as well. and Trent 1000 it just sounds like a top quality engine
The Boeing 787-3 Dreamliner is a super-efficient airplane with new passenger-pleasing features. It features a wing and structure optimized for shorter-range flights. It will bring the economics of large jet transports to the middle of the market, using 20 percent less fuel than any other airplane of its size. 290 to 330 passengers. 2,500 to 3,050 nautical miles. It will be a great aircraft.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Wy do we want to imagine that ocean animals can fly in the sky, especially children?
(3) Why do we like to imagine and to image aeroplanes as ocean animals? (eg. 747= whale & 787 = dolphin)
(4) Why do we want to build an aeroplane looking like a penguin in the ocean?
(5) Why do we enjoy to image sea animals are flying at sea?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

With all this new state of the art technology could this mean an end to plane crashing ?
GirlsHateMeVeryMuch 2 years ago
More people are killed by donkeys than in plane accidents. Driving on the highway has more potential danger than an airplane.
Rawrrrx19 2 years ago 5
yeah i think travelling on a plane is safer than going on a roller coaster these days
ConcordeCentral 2 years ago
it is its been proven statistically that air travel is the safest mode of transport there is.
amilldevil107 2 years ago
yeah i knew it was a few years back but i didnt know if it still was

For sure.

@soccerlizy Yes, cause when you're trying to sell the product, you want to advertise it's worse features...

That is exactly what I was thinking... they will figure out how to get more smaller seats in there it will wind up being the same old thing!

juiced2death 2 years ago
yeah but the a380 is efficient but we will need to see how it compares against the boeing 747-8 and the 787
ConcordeCentral 2 years ago
Boeing 747-8i will be more efficient than The A380 because it has more advanced engine technology than Trent 900.
raykrislianggi 2 years ago
oh cool i didnt know there would be a 787-8i i knew that they r going to use the trent 1000's but didnt know how they would fare against the 900
