Dude you tear my head off everytime! just watched "ROCHOUSE" again 2mins ago and then checked this out! you kill me man! so much talent i swear you are the only reason i come on this site!
So, after several months, i came back to hear your version of Mary Had a Little Lamb & found that you're doing originals. This piece is so solid, I don't know how to properly articulate the kudos it deserves. I thank you for sharing your talents with us & a special thanx, of course, to V.P. Gore for inventing the internet. =)
It was great to see you play with Edgar and Pat. I really admire someone that can be called on in the audience to come play and do a star performance. I look forward to hearing you play again.
ya i was there with andys son. i saw you on here one time before i saw you at paseo and i never would've guessed that you knew my best friends dad. small world
I thought you are not pro but when play goes wondered you are pro. What exquisite groovy jamming. May I ask whether Boss loop sampling is now played on amplier or just speakers in computer?
I am playing through my acoustic rig. I plug into the Boss loopsampler then run a line out to a Midiverb 2 (setting #23) then into a Roland AC60 acoustic amplifier. I have a KRK 10" powered subwoofer under the Roland.
I put a Rode NT1 mic in front of the rig and recorded to Pro Tools while the camera was running.
I've had an acoustic for years, was never that good,I now play and watch just electric blues and classic rock...until now. I'm pullin' out my Guid and am ging to be tuning into your videos quite often. Thanks for the great music!
goddam mark. you blow me away every single time. keep it up, exams are over for me soon ( month) so i'll have those videos i promised you a long time ago up soon!! ( month or two )
i swear though, apart from tommy, i could watch your videos all day!.. i gotta get me one of those boss loop samplers.. is it the rc20-xl?
Glad the "toothpaste" is still working! I'll be heading for OKC soon, I wouldn't miss your Festival gigs for anything. Your spontenaity always keeps me wondering what you'll come up with next. See you Tuesday, Love, Mom
Well, I thought ten minutes was too long. I thought I had been playing for about four minutes. I did the early fade for dramatic effect...? Actually, I'm still learning the video editing thing.
You know, 10 minutes is just perfect for that kind of jam. We must not think is terms of pop/rock songs with a formatted timing of 5/6 minutes. This belongs more to jazz impro where everyone jams in turn. No timing as long as it grooves and feels good.
You should try this analgesic paste again. Seems to me it's working quite well on your creativity.
You got a great groove going here Mark, my foot started tapping straight away, love your playing, you're one of the most talented guitarists I've seen- and you're a great guy to boot!

Mark,
Outstanding groove! What guage strings do you use on the 808 , .09? It is slinkyer than TE for sure,
Thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff,
Thanks for your comments.
Actually I use the same gauge strings as T.E.
Regular light gauge 12-53.

So, are you one of the guys that was there last Friday during my setup?
That was a test to make sure all of my stuff was working. I'll see if I can work up an arrangement for the old You Tube.

Nice tone, rhythm, timing, and playing. Easy on my ears for the entire 7:30 seconds. Keep up the playing. How long have you been playing?
JoshwaBurke 3 years ago
Thank you for your comments.
I've been playing seriously since I was fifteen. Even though I hate to admit it, that would be about thirty seven years.

Mark - that was amazing. Interesting story too. Are you doing any more arts festival gigs this year? Dan
dgalloway1975 3 years ago
Hello Dan,
Well, I'm finished with the Arts Festival already. I did a show on Tuesday and two shows on Wednesday.
Maybe you can catch me at another function.

"TAP THAT FOOT"
"i don't have to. i'm already grooving to this jam. see, my head is going up and down?"
"UH, MM.. OKEY"
"what? are you again spending your evening in youtube, totally drunk and writing totally pointless comments?"
"UHM.. I GUESS"
"would you just stop that. just turn off the computer and pick up your guitar!"
"OKEY"

Thanks for your response.
Yes, it is a Boss Loop Station, RC20-XL.
It has got some pretty cool features and it's fairly inexpensive.

I once put doggy ear drops in my eyes shortly after having lasik surgery, so I'm also a member of the 'brain fart' club.
Awesome groove and great improvisation. You're a wizard with that Boss looper, too.
Great stuff, Mark. - Troy

Man, I love that jam! I really have to give up my piano and work seriously on my poor guitar skills...
These were 7 minutes of pleasure.
