What I gave was a small amount for me. But if one million people gave a small amount like I did, then collectively we can make a difference. You might be surprised to realized so much you have in life was just given to you. I didnt try to change the world, I just didnt let the world change me.
@tlhawthorne I do appreciate the help france gave the US in that war they were a major help on that same note we also put forward a tremendous effort to push the brits back as well and fought well everyone did their part to defeat the british
@tlhawthorne that is true we had the help of the french BUT what got them interested in the fight between the british and US it was more than the fact britain was an enemy of the french, they saw we had strength and would be a formidable opponent to the british which filled them with enthusiasm for that war as well if we did not show strength the french would have seen us as a lost cause and frankly I would have too if I was them but they saw we could have victory here
@Chrissyyyyyo9 Not to donate because you think they wouldn't do it for you isn't a good reason. Do to others what you would want them to do to you. Plus You don't know if they would do it for us or not. They are in need and it doensn't matter why they are or how they got there. If we can help we should we should do it.
@newfsgoldensgalore there is a phrase I heard before God helps those who help themselves but I always ask isn't it a shame people will never be as smart as god =P
@Mandaw2469 Actually, it was probably one of the few times in my life that I genuinely feared for my life. It was most certainly not a pleasant experience, but with that being said, I am not about to delude myself into believing that I have ever had it worse off than people in Haiti. At least I had food to eat, a bed to sleep on and a roof over my head. That's a lot more than what most Haitians have. Like I said, our hell is someone else' heaven. We are more than lucky for what we have.
@Mandaw2469 For as long as they need help. We are as privileged as we are because of what our ancestors did to other people, who now suffer as a result. We should at least use our wealth and our ability to help for as long as they need it. We have more than enough to go around, we have more than enough food, money, things etc. that it shouldn't be such a big deal to help others. It's because of greed, ignorance and apathy that we don't. It is our duty as human beings to help out our fellow man.
@o0Theresa0o Ya good luck getting others to follow you with that. I guess I just don't have the same faith in human kindness that you seem to have. My experience has taught me that true human kindness is more rare then you think.
there is atleast one homeless person who has no warm bed to sleep in, probably hasn't had a decent meal in only the good Lord above knows when, and doesn't have a clean pair of underwear on his behind but Thank God you sent money over to Haiti to help them. Don't get me wrong it is sad what happened to Haiti but it's just as sad what happens right on our own doorstep and we look right over it.. I think I'm finished for now. Good Night All!
count the times on just one hand. So to everyone who is putting down other people for not sending money over to another country you need to lay off of people that you do not know. Until you die and become God you have the right to judge NO ONE! Now get down off your high horse and look out your front door and see how many people that could have used that money you sent over to Haiti, Honestly do you have proof that they got it???????????? Sleep good tonight knowing less than a mile from you
How can we help people in Haiti when we cant help our own children. So to those people that has something to say about the people that has not donated money to Haiti you need to get a mirror look at yourself in it and ask urself these next questions, "What is 3 things that I have done in my own country to help the less than fortunate, How many people in my own state, county/parish, town, neighborhood have I helped when they were down. How many of my own family members have I helped?" I bet u can
Just wanted to say "I have not donated anything to the Haiti relief fund. I would love to donate something but I have nothing to give. I am a single mother of 4 young children. My baby has a disability and I don't even make ends meet. There are many days, weeks, and even months when I don't even know where my own children's next meal is going to come from. So for those people that is saying it is pathetic of those who haven't helped you don't know every1's situation Maybe WE can't help ourselves
@SimplyBecauseWeCan Yes it is our fault they were born into a 3rd world country. I seriously suggest you go read up on the history of Haiti. It's incredibly sad & disheartening what we did to those people... & then we left them to deal with it. It's disgusting.
As for the problems in North America, yes, there are many. However, there are a lot of people working to do what they can for those in need, & like I have said over & over, they have a lot of resources available to them. Haitians do not.
Really, you honestly believe that it's not our responsibility to take care of someone in another country. It's all our responsibility as we are put here to help each other. The United States of America, even now when we are in a recession has more money per capita then they probably ever will have. What has happened to human beings that feel no responsibility to help their fellow man? Does it only apply to a certain address? How sad.
How about raising money for the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand? The first one six months ago was same magnitude as Haiti and now another one almost as big has devastated an already fragile city. come on world - cough up.
@RussellTheConkerer Did U know that the Haiti goverment is taking ALL of the Money??? I waz just at Haiti 2 weeks ago and ALL of the buildings r STILL a wreck!!!!!!! =O
and what about us people in christchurch, we have been in two major earthquakes in the past 6 months.. and now there is barly anything left after yesterdays 6.3 earthquake
I Like Farmville, It brings me great release from everyday stress. So I think it is no problem for me to buy crops to donate to Haiti, or any other country that is in despair, including my own. If anybody does not want to donate, that is their right. and if anybody thinks that people like me are stupid or wasting money, that is their problem....not mine. Thank You to all to do donate.....
@sigmaseal2003 well, I did put a few dollars on it, witch i could have bought cash with. it doesn't cost anything for zynga to give out farm cash. i put money toward Haiti, and the least zynga could do is give something in return.
@mullcait930 we are talking about a group of people who slaughtered french people and babies and put their heads on pikes as a battle flag they deserve nothing less than another earthquake or 2 the only problem is that just means more people will help them and that is the least i would want
You know I clicked it hoping I would help somehow, but not really seeing how playing a facebook game could help, but I clicked it anyway - and now I see that it really did help. That is way cool, I would love to know how it did help though... I donated to this appeal on several occasions but never gave cash through Farmville - how did it work?? I'm glad it did, but I am still puzzled
Farm ville has made me become a giver. Haiti school supplies collections was real fun on FB. Let all continue supporting in whichever way that we can and build a new Haiti altogether.
@SydneyPaula: I'm not sure how that happens, I never got redirected here, I just clicked on the link under my game window because I was curious. Not for the cash, not because I was forced, but because I thought it was good to see something good came from our donations. I agree with KadaverKeeper.
I just quote what G0LDENteap0t said...." The lady in the video NEVER said Americans, she said Thank you toFARMVILLE PLAYERS, let's get that fact straight. Maybe you feel like Americans are being put to the front burner, but that is so not true, you just happen to be playing on Facebook which was established in America, why are you hating, this is not about which country is first, it's about helping starving children that aren't even a part of our country, geeze where do you get your info?"
@Celsababe I agree. Besides, America is full of the people of the entire world. I don't hate Americans at all, I find them great people and I live beside them in Canada. And there's tons of people worldwide playing this game. I agree, it's all about helping people and I don't give a flying flip where that help comes from. Farmville just directed us here so we could be thanked. I enjoyed doing it, the backpack thing.
USA $ remain in bureaucratic limbo - unavailable to Haiti. reports say 'a million Haitians are homeless.' from squalor/ramshackle to homeless. another historically shameful way to treat a banana republic. viewing Haiti from above post jan 2010 through google earth gives a graphic and painfully accurate reality check of conditions. tell me how these school goods are able to alleviate the unimaginable suffering in Haiti. school supplies!? what schools? 'oh, I helped!" oh yea?

@ItalianBrianA americans werent the only ones helping haiti, and america certainly isnt the only country with problems right now. why do americans think they are supposed to come first?
@theG0LDENteap0t The lady in the video NEVER said Americans, she said Thank you to Farmville Players, let's get that fact straight. Maybe you feel like Americans are being put to the front burner, but that is so not true, you just happen to be playing on Facebook which was established in America, why are you hating, this is not about which country is first, it's about helping starving children that aren't even a part of our country, geeze where do you get your info?
@unpredictable7130 no shit sherlock i wasnt talking about the lady. i was talking about everyone on here saying that americans need to stop helping poor countries and only worry about themselves because they think that they are the only ones who matter. maybe you should get YOUR facts straight before you start trolling me :) k?
i am happy , i got to also help out with this , all those kids look happy to be in that lunch line... we all can help, when we want to . Play Farmville everyone!
you look right below the video on farmville404.co.cc you'll see a little box to the left of how many views my video has and? in that box is the link. I hope this helps :)
i'm glad that i helped too...how fast help can be with the technology we had right now. happy to have helped the people of Haiti....we too here in the philippines have suffered that kind of disaster. and we felt everybody helped us in their own little way...so, it's time we should help...i just saw the video thanking farmers all over the world...that's just little comparing to those who helped us...
@nuke572 funny, hasn't this been going on for decades? so how many generations are you going to continue with this bumper sticker, make you feel good, worthless behavior? 50% illiterate before the quake, and the smart ones have left, so how come the smart ones that live there boot out, and people like yourself want to go in there, whatever makes you feel good about yourself, every non-profit takes a cut for their workers or their "cause", i should know, i worked for one....
@5koorb Read up on mother Teresa and her pro poverty ways, and how she took in millions of dollars, and maybe a few thousand of that ever went to the poor. The rest went nowhere since Mother T believed suffering brought holieness (Ever had a needle thats been used on 8 other people and dulled used on you?)
@5koorb ok mr. psychologist. so youre saying people shouldnt help haitians at all right? just let them die off of hunger. you clearly know alot about the human brain.
Wow, how did she explain what the video was about to the kid? "it's this thing called farmville wear people pretend to grow food, but, uh, dont actually get anything..." I think some REAL farming would be more helpful.
I read some comments of people thinking that because they were playing Farmville they saved these kids. But you only contributed if you payed Zynga and planted the Haiti seeds or whatever, right?
@SanneLovesMusic: wrong, the school help program was also financed by zynga donating money for player activity (sending school gifts). In addition to that it was possible to buy the licence to plant sweet seeds (which again resulted in a donation) by Farmcash that was gained through leveling up in the game, like I did. So I didn't have to spend any real money but was still able to donate (through zynga). I think this is great. You're welcome to check out my channel, I'm making a FV guide atm :)
im wondering something... if haiti got 1.5 million for this school, what happened to the rest of the money the adults sent thru verizon and att for the simple 5.00 text... i mean how do we know this money was actually sent??
the news says"teen mom babyshaker , kills her child due to being "addicted" to farmville" ,little bugger wouldnt stop crying, wonder how much she put in for the efforts:D
I love FarmVille and I am so glad that I could contribute to help the children of Haiti while having fun. They have my prayers, my cash and my hope for a brighter future
well right on! i was happy to do it and it was alot of fun on top of knowing it was going to an awesome cause! yay for us farmers we kicked some booty and we raised a ton of money...!!
well right on! i was happy to do it and it was alot of fun on top of knowing it was going to an awesome cause! yay for us farmers we kicked some booty and raised a ton of money...!!
We are glad that Farmville Farmers raised over one million dollars for The School of Choice in Haiti. Education is the key to success. {KGP} New Jersey
iam addicted to farmville too and i also sponsor a little 5 year old boy from haiti too and when farmville was requesting to donate farmville dollars i donated some to help out feed the kids..i cant imagine not being able to eat everyday... wtg farmville friends
@urlove12day It works when you donate a couple of bucks to be able to plant 'Sweet Seeds for Haiti' -- last time it was those red beets. You don't donate just by playing for free.
@crazytenor actually they had the thing with filling up the school bag which was just playing but if a certain number got sent back and forth farmville donated a couple hundred thousand. It was amazing how fast that mark got hit, and the next mark as well.
What I gave was a small amount for me. But if one million people gave a small amount like I did, then collectively we can make a difference. You might be surprised to realized so much you have in life was just given to you. I didnt try to change the world, I just didnt let the world change me.

Maybe you feel like Americans are being put to the front burner, but that is so not true, you just happen to be playing on Facebook which was established in America, why are you hating, this is not about which country is first, it's about helping starving children that aren't even a part of our country, geeze where do you get your info?
unpredictable7130 1 year ago
@unpredictable7130 no shit sherlock i wasnt talking about the lady. i was talking about everyone on here saying that americans need to stop helping poor countries and only worry about themselves because they think that they are the only ones who matter. maybe you should get YOUR facts straight before you start trolling me :) k?

i'm glad that i helped too...how fast help can be with the technology we had right now. happy to have helped the people of Haiti....we too here in the philippines have suffered that kind of disaster. and we felt everybody helped us in their own little way...so, it's time we should help...i just saw the video thanking farmers all over the world...that's just little comparing to those who helped us...

WhiteTiger225 1 year ago
@5koorb ok mr. psychologist. so youre saying people shouldnt help haitians at all right? just let them die off of hunger. you clearly know alot about the human brain.

Wow, how did she explain what the video was about to the kid? "it's this thing called farmville wear people pretend to grow food, but, uh, dont actually get anything..." I think some REAL farming would be more helpful.

I read some comments of people thinking that because they were playing Farmville they saved these kids. But you only contributed if you payed Zynga and planted the Haiti seeds or whatever, right?
SanneLovesMusic 1 year ago
@SanneLovesMusic: wrong, the school help program was also financed by zynga donating money for player activity (sending school gifts). In addition to that it was possible to buy the licence to plant sweet seeds (which again resulted in a donation) by Farmcash that was gained through leveling up in the game, like I did. So I didn't have to spend any real money but was still able to donate (through zynga). I think this is great. You're welcome to check out my channel, I'm making a FV guide atm :)

something tells me there's something fishy about this.
zynga is the greediest and most unscrupulous online company i know, so i'd guess a big part of the donations went somewhere elese...

I didn't know that when you played farmville you donated to people how does that work?
urlove12day 1 year ago
@urlove12day It works when you donate a couple of bucks to be able to plant 'Sweet Seeds for Haiti' -- last time it was those red beets. You don't donate just by playing for free.

@crazytenor oh ok kool thnx
urlove12day 1 year ago
@crazytenor actually they had the thing with filling up the school bag which was just playing but if a certain number got sent back and forth farmville donated a couple hundred thousand. It was amazing how fast that mark got hit, and the next mark as well.
