i'd shorten the video just showing you painting the door not mixing the paint and re-upload it, you dont mix household paint that way AT ALL. nothing wrong with your spray technique you got that right, but household paint isnt designed to be used to finish with thinner like that, we use it for cleaning only (sometimes) of spray equipment. You should get 70% coverage with a colour like that in 1 coat, 2 coats finish it. Also HVLP is not really the best spray to use.

@doverman454 and if the paint stick were turned around would the paint be mixed any differently? I haven't seen 14 dollar guns at Harbor Freight however some of the HF guns are just fine for painting doors. I wouldn't paint a car with one though.

Using single stage paint and paint thinner with good ventilation should require a mask.... if he was using something that required an actual reducer with Iso(whatever the crap they are) then yes, a mask is a must.... A supplied air mask in would be best..
My overall favorite part was the "HARBOR FREIGHT special" gun.. Nice to see the $14.99 gun do a decent job.. I picked one up as my first gun for practice and found out that the $100.00 devilbliss guns (starting line) are plastic needles.

Dude put a mask on? Or do you do it without a mask regularly? You sound and paint like Andy Dick. Must be from all the dead brain cells from painting with no mask... It helps if you measure the paint to thinner ratio too.
A mask is a good idea, but you can usually get away with it with this single stage paint, if you have enough ventalation. Ive done it plenty of times....
And even if i lost a few brain cells, im not to your deadhead level where i watch videos i dont like. If you dont like me, or my videos, dont watch them. lol... Its not that complicated...

@ChuckE2009 not to criticize u but any paint u should have a mask or respirator. im not one to preach it cuz the yrs ive been painting ive neglected to wear one many times. and maybe it was the angle or the reflection but it looked a little light under the door handles and the dead bolts. and even with single stages which that paint wasnt. u need a mask its the voc's thatll kill ya.. ive painted alot of stuff im not bragging but i can sure tell the nxt cpl days afterwards if i didnt wear a mask
@modsled911 I know this is 9 months later. But an Airless Paint Sprayer wastes way too much paint. I do know what I'm talking about I work at a rental company. We rent the airless and we'll clean a pint of paint out the the sprayer...regularly.
