  • your a moron dude get a life

  • @jpmac, dude you're dead wrong, vibrations do loosen any screw type connections, otherwise why would anyone use locking nuts or lockwashers. Also, loose connections can interupt specific (single or multiple) channels and cause error messages to pop up. Try loosening you cable wire a 1/2 turn and see if you don't loose a few channels.

  • if you have high speed internet you should get the roku cable box. roku is a streaming player. it is the size of a hockey puck. it has over 600 channels and they keep on adding channels everyday. now there are some channels you have to pay for if you want them but most channels are free. you only have to pay for the roku once after that it is for free. go to roku.com to learn more about this device.

  • Sigh, vibrations of all sort do loosen connections. Ever have to tighten the screws on end tables? That's from vibrations. Second, cable boxes display specific messages, that's not one of them. The guy you talked to does this ever day, you should maybe trust he knows what he's doing.

  • @Arekinable Yet it was only specific channels that he couldn't connect to? That wouldn't make sense. And screws come loose due to movement. Tables are often bumped into or moved in some way, such as while vacuuming. A cable will not become unplugged due to vibrations, unless they are enough to move the device itself.

  • lets create a different company with internet service someone with any ideas. I am done with this internet service companies.

  • Its kind of funny the channels he listed nbc, abc, cbs, can all be watched over the air for free.

  • There are folk out there that pretend to be support folk. They sit at the desk, their script in front of them and never stray off it. That isn't necessarily Comcast - every company has had at least one of these at some time.

Back in the days of dial up, I had a problem where a modem server would only connect port 80, so no email, no Usenet, nothing. I phoned up to report it to the ISP and got the same sort of person. Their first question was... "Which version of IE are you using?" TILT!!!

  • you fucking basterd how does that tech know your smart or dumb... some customers would say "I am a network engineer i know what im doing" but finally the problem would be he not plugged in a cable correctly .... motherfucker listen to the tech even though they ask basic questions... or you will be fucked you you fool

  • @sudarsan7532 - Wow, you're an asshole.

  • @Jon not only that he can't even spell "Bastard" right.

  • @Jon I have a way you could make sound make a cable come out from it's port. use a jet engine, I'm sure the sound from that could make it come out.

  • @sudarsan7532 You're an idiot...

  • Jon, did you even think that maybe he doesn't know you Jonathan "Freaking" Paula?

  • ugh, customers dont realize how disgusting they sound when complaining to a operator about services being out, people are just doing their jobs and your bitching because you cant watch TV. if u cant deal with having issues with your cable tv issues plug up your antenna and watch snow.

  • i have the same probelm except comcast bullshits its.way out of all are problems and leaves us with out phoneinternet or tv for three months before they even get a tech out there this also happens again and again over an entire year and we cant switch

  • lucky, my tv just leaves at night and gets drunk, and guess who has to go out and get it?

  • You think Comcast is bad? Come to Canada.

Enjoy playing $70/month for a 90 GB cap, and $1.5 for every GB exceeded.

  • @Jon I have worked for a call center for a cable company and I can tell you for most cable companies they REQUIRE you to follow the script no matter the level of intelligence of the customer. If you knew a tiny bit of what they go through in a day you would not judge them so harshly.

  • @Jon Comcast constantly keeps starting trouble with us bc they are the only cable station in my area and we don't like satellite they lie to us all the time tell us they don't care if we leave Comcast and when they found out that we were right in a situation they did nothing to compensate

  • I just got with comcast High speed internet (Blast!) 35 Mbps at download and 6 Mbps at Upload. I know that they only give people 250GB data for a month, But in just 8 days i had used Data at 499GB already. What can i do to fix it or just wait for them to call me.

Will they stop my internet or charge me more money??? please tell me guys!!

  • @NengVang2007 stop watching porn

  • @sainifabulous Yes! i think so too LOL

  • OMGoodness. These comments are hilarious! Especially, the comments from the call center / customer service reps. Your job as representative is to help & resolve issues. Avoid customer service jobs, if you feel the general public ask stupid questions & tell lies. Some of you are incompetent, liars, hate your job, aren't active listeners & ask dumb questions, too.

  • What I do hate is that when we get to the end of their workflow.... and are lost.

  • @Jon I work in support, though not the low level stuff that Comcast does, but I do have over 11 yrs experience in the field. Let me tell you a not so secret, secret. Customers LIE. They may not know they're lying, but they often do provide false information. Small details that they leave out, or ignore, can be critical to solving a problem. I make a very good living fixing issues that people bone up, because they forgot one thing, that they swore they had checked.

  • Look, when you call into a call center, the people on the phones have to follow protocol set for them by the big wigs. We are monitored on those calls and if we screw up, we get written up which threatens our jobs. If we're not able to do what you want, that is because we are protecting our jobs. And we ask questions like that to get a better understand of the issue and what troubleshooting steps to take. A lot of problems have been fixed just be asking those questions.

  • and my ad on this video was comcast so derp

  • As a longtime fan Im surprised this vid doesn't have more views...given how "big" comcast is. Still fun to watch after a few years.

  • They insult your intelligence because most people who call don't have intelligence. Most of the problems are solved with those early retarded questions.

  • i work at a call service and i get alot of dipshits like jon calling when i work. its the process the employees is required to follow . there was a motherfucker that called me stupid and i sent him about 10 cable boxes. fuck that asshole

  • All tech services are like this, whether its comcast, directTV, T-Mobile, HP, AT&T, etc. If i had a dime for everytime i called AT&T to report an internet outage and they told me to reset my modem, I would be a billionaire. I always got pissed and say "Look, dont you think Ive already tried that? Just get someone to look at the internet in this area and get back up so I can Jon Paula!"

  • Right on!

  • even the tourettes guy has had trouble with comcast! one of his vidoes has him shouting about it

  • i dont work for comcast but i do work for time warner cable and im assuming that the procedure is the same since it is the same service...to the agents defence if that call got pulled and listened to and he didnt ask you to make sure that cables were tight then he would get in trouble for not following procedure and scheduling a tech with out trying everything...i understand your point and yeah that is an issue past the box but he did have to do what he is gettin paid to do.

  • 23 people work for comcast

  • Your a douche

  • Comcast came in, NBC offically committed suicide, Olberman walked out, ratings disappeared, HELL BROKE LOOSE

  • Reminds me of when I had trouble setting up a microphone to my computer, so I called tech-support of the company that made it, they said "return it to the store, we don't actually do support on products." Just like the stupid HDMI cable issue.

  • maybe comcast hates your shows

  • Its better than Dell's service.......

  • @91SonicRulez hell yeah.....

  • I use AT&T U-verse

  • xshitidity

  • comcast sucks!!! they are lazy with updating my favorite shows a day after their new episodes like normal ex: ugly americans, doctor who, etc. and sometimes they get rid of my favorite shows!: Oddities, American dad. or dont even put them on as an option: Futurama. i could go on and on but im going to save that for when i begin making my rants.

  • @FalloutReaper Why get Comcast cable when you can get Netflix or any other online subscription for 7 bucks and watch what you like, when you want it anytime of day. This is what I did. Never looked back ever since.

  • how about the casey anthony trial and how stupid the jury was

  • What's more shity then comcast is mediacon

  • comcast speed test. it SUCKS (at least in baltimore area)

  • I work for Comcast and for the most part, callers are really uneducated when it comes to things such as hook ups or cords. Working with Comcast for 3 years, I've never encountered the problem you describe, and I myself would be more likely to say it's a network problem than a problem with the Comcast services themselves. Also realize that just because one rep was an idiot, doesn't mean we all are.

  • I had the same problem, every now and then a few channels simply wouldn't show up and we'd get the same message. It took 4 months and 3-ish repair groups to fix the problem. Not only that, but all the customer reps. were rude and condesending. The good news is that now, I have U-verse!

  • the customer service guys are almost flat out saying, "your a retard, check the cord".

  • AN HDMI CABLE! Wow vibrations form Jon's speakers don't "vibrate" out of it's socket.

  • uverse anit no better ethier!!!

  • THERE FUCKING DICK HEAD MORRONS!!!!

  • I used to work at one of their call centers and trust me: they don't care.

It works like this: Check for outages, check cables, power cycle, offer service protection service (if you don't already don't have it), send technician.

And If the call last longer than 6 minutes (360 seconds) they are trying to cut off with things like: "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I suggest you go to a Comcast Store ..."

You're not allowed to make customers happy. I quit.

    Comcast neither care nor listen.

  • They DON'T care. If you only knew the kind of people they hire, if you walk through one of their call centers, you'd know what I'm talking about.

  • How the hell did I get here from Sonic Adventure OST videos?

  • i work for comcast and time warner cable. and i dont blame you for this. i hear so many bad things about comcast.

  • If you got Verizon wouldent' that mean your phone has to be plugged into the tv at all times?

  • I have to deal with that everyday just because i'm 14 and even though i'm a lot more intelligent than the average 14 year old people treat me like i'm retarded a lot of the time.

  • Get fios it is the best

  • Yeah, any message about live TV isn't coming from the cable box, dude. Also, "resetting the box" = you unplugging the power cable. Also, I only watched like half the video because you talk too much.

  • It's because customer service rep's that get hired from comcast are ignorant, it's plain and simple. On top of that they're outsources so you could be getting ANYONE from India to Mexico and anywere inbetween. Atleat you don't deal with it on a daily basis like I do. We complain about this all the time and nothing get's done about it.

  • those assholes won't even let me use my own modem!

  • get a life dude! instead of wasting ur time and ours ranting, check d cables nd play along.

  • the vibration is a possible problem. but i believe you jon. :)

  • Why didn't you just check them and tell him that they were fine instead of feeling that you had to argue with him. Do you know how frustrating that is for the call rep that someone calls for help, and then argues with him/her? Most people call in and have the most ridiculous solutions. People more often than not call in with a problem without checking anything on their TV. The majority of television subscribers are clueless when it comes to knowing how to operate their equipment.

  • Hey Genius, you work anywhere that I can contact you and tell you how to do your job? 60% of people calling in are idiots and don't even know how to use their own equipment. They also call in when their DVD, Blue ray player , surround sound or Xbox doesn't work....not comcast issues but they are helped anyway. If you are so frigging smart then why are you even calling in for?? Fix it yourself or even better cancel your service, you don't deserve it!

  • @nova563 Wow you're an idiot. It was a problem with Comcast's servers not sending the signal to him and the tech was telling him to fix the fucking HDMI cables as if that is what would work.

  • Hi Jon,

I've worked at a ISP in europe, ho's using the same equipment.

But i've found a little mistake that comcast does.

They are using a data-splitter to connect the modem unto the cable.

We never used that, we use a NIU (network interface unit)

This splits the cable into connections for TV and modem without losing signalquality.

I've told them about the use of data-splitters,but never received an aswer.

By using a splitter, you're decorder get less signal and makes more errors.

  • Comcast has shit for breakfast and pisses on their coffee and drink it.

  • ur right they do suck, prices were reasonable back in the day so now the recent xfinity comes around so they jack up the price even more. recent news that they will be making it 80 percent even faster then before watch your cable bill jump another 80 bucks a month

  • Hey Jon, really really diggin the video messages.about comcast customer service haha word of advice just tell em skip the damn step in that procedure and send me a signal or at least advice me to powercycle my device. in the end we all have to answer to higher source and those call center agents may rarely know what they are doing and may be pulling things out of their ass and believe me thats what it sounded like out of wat you were saying hahaha even i thought come on now just move on.

  • Im always have problems with these fuckers! ALWAYS! I told off the supervisior and got a month credited..lol.. i deserved it!.. getting error codes all the freaken time! Sum channels work ..sum dont?!..wtf?

  • Comcast service does suck , Ive been waiting 6 months for them to drop a new feeder line and all they do is give me a big run around about county permits , permits they cant get because they havent paid for the ones they already got, isnt this supose to be a multimillion dollar company ?

  • comcast sucks balls!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, Comcast services sucks balls.

  • mmm.. from a customer point of view i agree with you, but why when the asked you to check your connection you put the phone down 30 seconds and discussed over a min i guess with the rep that in less then a min you could have checked the conections??? and one more thing after tech came to fix the problem what was the problem????

let me know please so i can fix mine

  • Sad story i used to have comcast, but my house caught on fire we were in a hotel for two months and effin comcast wont suspend it and if we cancle it we have to 100 dolors extra to get it back. with comcast we had basic cable now we all have hd service and one dvr and it still cost less. Comcast is a bitch

  • 3:18 lol.

  • they need to ask for the connections because it is part of the procedure, if this is not made then quality will grade an f in tehchnical support and it wont be a call resolution

  • I am using voip available at vontrump.com. It is amazing.

  • THEY HAVE SUCKED EVER SINCE I STARTED WITH THEM.....IMMIGRANT WORKERS AND SHITTY SERVICE....SOUND FIRMILIAR?....WAKE UP AMERICANS

  • THEY HAVE SUCKED EVER SINCE I STARTED WITH THEM.....IMMIGRANT WORKERS AND SHITTY SERVICE....SOUND FIRMILIAR?....WAKE UP AMERICANS ITS HAPPENING WITH EVERYTHING

  • It'd be kinda fun to blow up the box and put it back and be like, "Yep, no wires are out. It's your service." :3

  • Well can you unplug it for 15sec. i hate Comcast.

  • Comcast fuck you!

  • OMG that guy was stupid.

how could comcast hire such a retard?

also, vibration can do that to cables... if it was a freaking earthquake!!!

stupid, stupid, comcast tech support people.

  • Dude ur really an idiot do even know the dif. Between an hdmi and a coax. And yes it does happens that's way you get asked that u dumb fuck

  • SUBSCRIBED

  • like me i was on the phone saying my internet was not working then they said is it pluged in my responce what kind if retarded question is that? sorry i dont like your tone go to are web site for more info. WTF

  • if the standard def works, then suck it up and watch the show in standard def.. honestly.. and if a tech is sent and the proper line of questioning is not done, it may cause you.. yes YOU a charge for the tech visit.. so seriously, don't argue with support when you call, you are calling them for support.. so just go with the flow and you may get your technician..

  • If it was a problem with the cable connection it would say something like "no signal or weak signal"

  • comcast sucks

    sucks sucks

    sucks again

right now it sucks again every once a moth, what the ****

    suck company

  • I work for phone company. You can not imagine how many problems are resolved by asking those questions. We notice that you're not stupid ... but there are a bunch of stupid customers!!!

  • Well, what did you expect from a company that makes stupid commercials with Shaq, and owns a shameless network that glorifies dumb sluts. (E! Entertainment)

  • Maybe the guy's manager was there, and he had to follow a procedure or something? I know many places require their customer service consultants to ask a set of questions simply because they really do get many stupid customers who are too dumb to plug a cable back in.

  • who the fuck arebrian williams or jack bauer anyway?! VOTE UP THAT LAST COMMENT I FEEL ITS DAMN FUNNY! ....

  • Sooooo, Comcast just sends evryone a tech without asking some basic connections... customers get a 1 1/2 year wait list... or Comcast hires 87,000 new people. John your just some asshole, out there, somewhere floating around the digital world addicted to Transformers re-runs, jerkin off every Friday night on a private call with Bonnie, hahahahha. You need to get laida life man. " Dont have timetocheck these cables" "excellent usually; minor problems, twice a year" ... 'The World Accrdng TO'...

  • @eastcoaster54 *Jon*

  • One huge thing to consider, is that while you may be technician and might know what you're doing, you're less than 1/1000, and while I know that it feels like "hey I already tried this" should get you off the hook, almost every single caller says that, so when you get into these situations, instead of arguing with the agent (causing only distress for everyone) just play along? it takes all of 10 seconds and is much easier on you.

  • As a subscriber to VZFiOS and a former Crapcast subscriber, I say, Verizon is the absolute best TV, Phone, and Internet available. The people on the phone are nice, they dont treat you like assholes, and they install and set up the product for free. VZFiOS is a head and shoulders above anyone else.

  • @theonesean As a Comcast subscriber since availability in 2003, I almost canceled for VZ FIOS in May 2010. Then Frontier came along and crippled Verizon's features. I upgraded to Comcast Voice and Internet... and still haven't had issues. Never had issues when Comcast bought AT&T Broadband back in 2003. What happened to you?

  • I understand where you are coming from! However, as a Comcast employee... We do take into account everything you say... We also understand how we do our job... It may not be your cables but, we are required to check... You not double checking really isn't helping either... I guess what we can say would be.. We're human... We do our jobs to the best of our ability just like anyone else... We have to hit every point... Sorry..

  • I recently visited vontrump.com. They have some very cool options for voip related products.

  • I'm considering getting Qwest Internet & Phone Bundle with DirecTV with 40Mbps Internet download speed. Good choice?

  • get Bresnan Communications

  • hi they are difficult to work for very I've been in the catv industry for many years and now they charge customers who call in only to ask questions.I found this out from a former customer whom had multiple service calls and when the insult of having to pay to talk about the same problem we never resolved and they refused to take the charge of $4.95 off his remaining balance even after telling them he would give comcast another shot if they would waive the call charge. Arrogant yes they are!

  • well i have heard of sound knocking a cable lose but it was because we had the bass turned up to much and the cable wasnt plugged in good

  • You should talk about how Comcast is charging for how MUCH we use the internet now.

  • As a former Comcast employee, while you may not be an idiot, there were PLENTY of dumb people who would call in and that HDMI cable issue that you think is so stupid, is the issue.

That said, there were also a lot of idiots that i worked with at Comcast, so who knows what that guy's deal is...

  • @lifewithoutcash - Yeah, I hear you. I understand your side of the equation too - I just wish more tech-support people respected me when I start a call with, "I know it isn't this... can you help?".

  • @lifewithoutcash i love comcast, but keep in mind i know the people you hire make your company, but think of some of the people that work there, they probably dont like what there doing and to them your just another phone call...there are people out there who are ambitious of there job and those are the ones who get things done for you there in then.... and with the coax thing i probably would of asked if you had a earthquake recently over saying your music was too loud haha

  • @lifewithoutcash how muchj is a replacement converterbox if i broke it please reply

  • you should cut that shit off anyway......who needs tv, it just brain washes the public....read a book....

  • I would like to hear your opinion on the whole 2012 apocalypse thing

  • sky tv tried to do that to me :(

  • as soon as my contracts up though i'll be swiching to Direct TV for cable since they have been told to have the highest quality HD TV because from my research comcast compresses there cable chanels and therefore lower quality in High Def then Direct TV... kind of hard to explain i guess... and yes i agree there idiots.. cuz my cable totaly unscrewed in 1 night from vibrations while i was sleeping.. when its so quiet.. haha

  • you do know it doesn't exaclty matter if your prewired for comcast or not... some companies give free installation such as direct TV... and a phone line is easy to install... its just a few wires and a small internet search... as far as internet... if choose to stick with comcast thats awsome cant beat comcasts internet... my service only goes out like once a month to every other month on average... i've got all 3 services only because i'm stuck in a contract...

  • usualy the online chat service people suck... every single rep i've talked to on the live chat service couldn't not understand what i'm trying to say even though its so clear and understandable..

  • Comment removed

  • i work for comcast, in a call center, doing tech support and let me tell you, doing people checking all the cables is a process we have to follow, it is not because we want, it's just 'cuz we have a software and it say us what we have to do to fix the cable service, so, please, when you call comcast again, please do everything we tell you ok?

  • The commercial says that theyre not happy unless their customers are happy, but from what I have expierienced, theyre never happy...

  • I know you didn't really like LOST all that much...but when the big finale aired on my TV, halfway through the show, it shut off....everyone we knew was so angry, the TV's shut off everywhere. And the only channel was ABC, which was the only channel we wanted to watch lol

  • hahahaha i work for comcast =)

  • @chuyazo90 How do you like working for them? Satisfied with my service here...

  • Actually, Sound can rattle a cord loose. The problem is that you gotta have it turned up to the point where your neighbors can hear it.

  • I know how you feel...I get pretty angry when I cannot watch my 24...man I miss that show...

  • dude trust me it's to expenseive to go to Verizon fios it's expensive and the customer service sucks u could be on their for about a hour until u get someone

  • Private phone calls eh? ;)

  • I think AT&T doesn't care either. My phone went out, and it took them a whole week to come out and fix it. So I went a week without phone. Once they came out to fix it, they said it took so long, because they where "really busy"

  • I know exactly what you're talking about! I have an appointment today for Comcast to come out and "resolve" an issue with my cable and they are already twenty minutes late!! LOL...I think I get a twenty dollar credit on my bill...if I'm not mistaken!

  • Comcast is ranked number 143 out of the 334 companies that have a Customer-Service-Scoreboard d-o-t com rating with an overall score of 40.69 out of a possible 200. This score rates Comcast customer service and customer support as Disappointing.

  • Comcast customer service "account executive" is lying cock. They blame the customer for Comcast problems. A service "account executive" told me via telephone that it was okay for the internet to be out because it is a leisure service. Seriously, this is what they said. The employees must read from a script and lie to the customers. Never seen anything like it. And about the "good price" I don't call $60./month for internet a good price. Fact is their support people tell you nothing and lie.

  • What was the problem determined to be?

  • Chuck Norris can dislodge a tree from a person's ass with only sound.

  • I have Cox cable, and they're horrible. They have a deal with my city, so you can't get any other providers in my area.

  • Coming from someone who had to listen to someone work from home, A LOT of people call freaking out about their cable not working, and it's as simple as something was unplugged. I realize that wasn't the issue here, but it does happen. Doing that job is not easy, I only had to listen to someone do it, I wanted to jump off a bridge

  • 13 people work for comcast.

  • omg. i have comcast and since like sometime in the summer. i have had no channelsbesides like NECN wdf. only the tv with the cablebox has real stations like honestly were not getting a cable box for every tv in my house...

  • (I'll be honest i'm 11) and my parent's TV has comcast and they have TONS of problem, I like AT&T personally so I SO agree with you

  • They keep screwing up our internet and when we ask they say "Oh we're doing maintence down there, didn't we tell you?"

  • I don't really know about comcast, but I know that Noos is worst than anything : they give you the box wich crashes every 5 minutes if you change channels to quickly, if you go on custumer service, THEY will say that they have other stuff to do ...

    Noos just sucks.

  • @thiefrules then pay for the expanded channels and don't expect to get them for free.

  • Im a comcast tech and another tech once worked in customer service and he told me that they DO have to follow a check list of things because if they can't resolve the problem on the phone in less than four minutes then they do get in trouble from their supervisors, and also they do get written up for having to send out a technician and not being able to solve the problem on the phone. I hate those rules and think they are bs but we have to remember that the person you are talking to is a pers

  • WOW! for ONCE your right well almost comcast always sucks! get direct tv! they're commercials are true direct tv is better than comcast

  • *whispers* "It doesn't go anywhere..."

  • Hey, I work for Comcast :D. Cool video though. :D

  • @riddlerthemarine i wouldnt broadcast that you work for them on a vid such as this, who knows maybe they watch your stuff i read about a guy who worked for comcast and comcast fired him for certain blogs. (invasion of privacy) and he sewed them... just be careful

  • @riddlerthemarine Hey, Comcast dude! Can I have Insight Broadband back? You kinda converted us back in 2007 or so and started raising the prices and throttling our internet speed.

  • @riddlerthemarine fuck comcast

  • Actually, its natural for a cable to come loose over time.

Remember to reset you own cables ever two months.

  • I'm so glad I live in Finland, I don't get shitty service.

  • After Watching your first few videos Jon I have decided to subscribe to this channel! I never knew about this channel. But I was curios from your "Is it a good Idea to microwave this" Channel and I saw it on the left side! Great Stuff Jon hope you bring more of this! It was funny because all of it is so true. I mean I can't believe they do this to people! Us tech geeks are in our minds like -_- Because they give such idiotic Excuses lol.

  • When I moved in to my house the comcast guy came in and set up the internet, tv, and phone. He left and half an hour later it wouldn't work anymore. We called him up and he wouldn't come back.

We have to turn on the cable box every day for it to not overheat, or we will loose it for the next few hours.

    I hate comcast.

  • get COX 50 mbs internet and digital cable if you have service from cox in you area

  • Why don't you get Dish??? (lol)

  • I have Comcast HD in two rooms, and Comcast SD in two rooms. Internet is 30/12, and I have digital telephone service w/ caller ID appearing on the TV, all for 162 dollars a month. I've been a comcast customer since they bought out AT&T broadband in 2003, never had problems.

    Hope your issues get fixed...

  • @coffeeandsugar20 iv never had issues either. i have the 16mb internet service with phone and tv, all are pretty darn great. my internet speeds are over 1.5mbs constant, with around 5+ mbits upload. its enough for me to host servers on, wich i do. its pretty darn good internet, the tv doesnt look shabby, and the phones always clear.
