Awsome set and review. I don't have this model but one day I'll have. My first Technic model is the 8216 (Turbo I). I got it when I was younger. I couldn't build that because the instruction was too complicated for me. So I decided to stop building it & put this away. Last year I found it back and built that without problems. The BIONICLE, Slizer & RoboRider sets really helped me to start building Technic sets. The 8465 (Extreme Off-Roader) also helped me to build Technic Lego.

bill do u need to put a gear in everey wheel hub to make it drive or are they grooved for the axle,?

and if so is it just tht gear tht can drive it ?

They are driven from the axel. The way that they lock the wheel to turn is the gear you see in the wheel. But this gear isn't tied to the tread but simply the wheel. Pretty clever... The right and left FRONT wheels have a gear to locke the wheel hub to the axel... Bill

Indeed I HAVE ALL THE MINDSTORMS sets and NXT set. About the only MINDSTORM subset I DON'T have is the MISSION TO MARS. I will eventually put them ALL on film but for now haven't yet done it.... Be Well... Bill

Sorry to hear that! You might try to get LEGO stuff at LEGOLAND!! I don't know where they are but maybe you can find it there. OR BRICKLINK!! BRICKLINK is NOT a USA thing. It may be based in the USA but MOST of the offerings are FROM EUROPE. So maybe some of the older models would be available locally!!! BRICKLINK is a site that resells for users. If you have a old model for sale you could post it for sale on BRICKLINK. The buyer deals with the INDIVIDUAL. Be Well... Bill

3.Cool model dude ;lego mindstorms is just like that but its a little fancier.....

I.E:It has motion,sound and touch sensors and comes with a special programmable brick.....

Thanks for the comments! I HAVE ALL THE MINDSTORM sets except for the MARS set. I have a NXT and many additional sensors. I have been deliberatly holding off on the NXT or MINDSTORM in my videos. A lot of people are not inclind to computer models and I've been putting it off. I WILL BE SPRINKELING MY VIDEOS with NXT and MINDSTORM projects later in the year. But for now I'm still going to be building conventional... Be Well... Bill
